You are a project manager assigned to implementing a new computer system in an organization

  • Why is it important to understand usability, configurability, and interoperability? Should these concepts out way the underlining cost of the new system? Which system do you recommend and why?
  • During phase one, you are selecting a team. What characteristics are important to consider when selecting a team?

There are many methods available for conducting research, one of which is a case study. The purpose of this assignment is for you to learn how to conduct and complete a case study.

Instructions: Answer the following four questions using current APA format throughout (including your title page, running head, author note, appropriate vocabulary and sentence structure, introductory statement, in-text citations, page numbers, levels of headings throughout the document, a conclusion statement, and consistency between your in-text citations and references). Use your course textbooks, including your Introduction to Research textbook and the Publication Manual, and at least two additional scholarly references. This assignment must have a title page, plus two to four pages of appropriate content, and a reference page. Give the answers to these questions in your own words and with your own explanation. Cite your sources in-text, and list your various sources as references on your references page.

This assignment is requiring level one headings for each of the questions. Create your own brief phrase for a properly-formatted level one heading for each question so as to be clear about which item you are answering. Your headings must not be simply copied/pasted from the questions. An acceptable heading must clearly capture the essence of each question. Headings are typically brief statements. Page 62 in your Publication Manual will remind you of how your level one headings should look. See various sections of your Publication Manual for details about all other requirements in this assignment.

Research a case involving an actual or perceived dilemma, and then create a case study.
Read it thoroughly. Once you finish reading the case study, draft a three-page paper in proper APA Style, consisting of the following elements:

1. Write a short summary of the facts regarding the ethical element or dilemma that is present. This summary can usually be done in one paragraph. If, however, your case is complicated and requires further discussion, you may exceed the page limit.
2. The bulk of your paper, will address the three issues listed below.
Critically analyze the premise of the case study, and determine its impact on public confidence and organizational effectiveness. How does the publics perception of the incident and/or organization factor into the equation?
Review any legal implications of the case and any long-lasting issues that may arise from what actually occurred.
If you had been in a position of authority, how would you have handled the situation differently? Was anything done correctly in your opinion?
3. Conclude with your own thoughts on the case. The conclusion of your paper will be a short statement regarding your own thoughts of the case. This is your reflection and will be based on your personal opinion and perspective. This section should not require more than one paragraph. Process your thoughts carefully and condense them into a few sentences.
