Unsuccessful Team
Another team of students experienced severe team problems, which caused it to become dysfunctional and had to be split. At the first peer assessment session, marks were transferred between team members, as it was perceived that some team members were not contributing. Even though agreement was made at this meeting that marks should be transferred, and suggestions were made about how to improve the situation, resentment amongst team members escalated. This was clearly evident from the comments being made through the confidential on-line journal entries each week. The tutor had several meetings with the project manager and individuals to help try to resolve issues, but to no avail.

At one of the team meetings a serious disagreement occurred, in which one of the team members verbally berated another, from which point there was no reconciliation. After this altercation, team members felt they could no longer work together, so even though they would experience a heavier workload, they unanimously agreed to split and form two separate teams. An analysis of the responses given by the successful team indicated that this team had a strong awareness of the attributes needed for successful teamwork. Comparing responses from this team against the key attributes needed for successful teams shown in Table 1, it was evident that this team was not congruent with these criteria.

Review the descriptors in Table 1 that describe the successful team, then review the commentary about the unsuccessful team and create your own Table in which you change the descriptors to ones applicable to the unsuccessful team. Then, include paragraph descriptions of the six attributes as was done for the successful team above.

Last, address these final questions about the unsuccessful team:

How would you recommend the unsuccessful team resolve its conflicts?
What steps could you take to improve the teams performance?

Business law question one page

Discussion:

Case: Forestal Guarani S.A. v. Daros International, Inc. 613 F.3d 395 United Stated Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, 2010

Facts: Forestal Guarani S.A., in Argentina, entered into an oral agreement to sell wooden finger-joints to Daros International, Inc. in New Jersey.[1] Forestal sent Daros the products but Daros declined to pay the full amount.

When Forestal sued Daros in the U.S. for breach of contract, Daros denied owing anything because, under New Jersey sales law, the contract would have had to be in writing to be enforceable. Further, it claimed, Argentina had not accepted the CISG’s elimination of the writing requirement when it ratified the CISG. Since the contract was not in writing, it was also possible that Argentine law applied. The district court dismissed Forestal’s claim because the parties’ agreement was not in writing. Forestal appealed.

Question/Issue: Which law applied to this contract—the CISG, Argentine law, or New Jersey law?

Chapter 5

2. ETHICS The Supreme Court has stated that “although one may find sexually explicit material tasteless and even immoral, it is constitutionally protected so long as it is not obscene.” This chapter discusses the guidelines that determine if speech is obscene for purposes of the First Amendment. Should obscenity ever be protected under the First Amendment? Where you do draw the line?

theoretical or conceptual framework

Provide a 200 word response to the below answered discussion question in apa format with in-text citations and references. Title page is not needed.

Discussion Question Answer:
According to Melynk and Fineout- Overholt (2014) a theoretical or conceptual framework is a number of statements that attempt to explain, and or predict a phenomenon. This is important to provide a framework for selecting the variables of the study and how the related to one another, allowing the researcher to develop interventions.
Utilizing a theory or framework will help provide a foundation for designing and planning strategies for intervention and selecting tools that are not random. Using a theory helps explain the reason why the interventions will work and is a critical step planning the interventions (Sales, Smith, Curran, Kochevar, 2006). They help and offer different perspectives on how to translate research into practice. I believe the benefit is great when incorporating a framework or theory. According to Melnyk and Fineout – Overholt (2014) utlizing a clear theoretical framework is driving the study hypotheses and intervention, and the relationship between the purposed study variables (p.503). The framework is helping guide the direction of the study, they assist the nurse or clinician through the change practices and help strengthen the decisions to implement the evidence based change into practice.
Because we are setting the foundation, while it takes time, it is highly beneficial to the person who is trying to implement the change. Change models help the clinicians implement the change but also use strategies to disseminate knowledge, identify barriers, stakeholders, and activities that will help sustain the change (Melnyk & Fineout-Overholt, 2014). All of these are important when implementing any type of change. This is another reason why a model or theory is important in the EBP process.

Original Question:
Why is it important to incorporate a theory or model related to change when implementing practice changes? Does the benefit of incorporating a change model outweigh the time and effort it took to include it?

Chapters 207, 208, and 241 of the Buttaro et al

To prepare:

•Review Chapters 207, 208, and 241 of the Buttaro et al. text, as well as the Adams et al. and Assadi articles in this week’s Learning Resources.

•Select one of the following electrolyte disorders: hyperkalemia and hypokalemia; hypercalcemia and hypocalcemia; hypernatremia and hyponatremia; hypermagnesemia and hypomagnesemia. Reflect on signs and symptoms of this disorder.

•Consider potential causes of the disorder that you selected. Reflect on whether that disorder is iatrogenic or a result of prescribed drugs.

•Think about the impact of this electrolyte disorder on patients. Consider how the disorder affects other body systems.

Post 1 to 2 pages on a description of the electrolyte disorder that you selected as well as signs and symptoms. Then, explain potential causes of the disorder including whether it is iatrogenic or a result of prescribed drugs. Finally, describe the impact of the disorder on patients and their body systems.
