(1) Complete a (2000-2500) word critical analysis of a global media platform/media-series your choice. It is strongly suggested that this second subject be related to your Global Media Personality first paper. Your platform/media-series can be a radio, television or cable outlet, film company, streaming service, social media platform, humanitarian NGO or any other species of organization. You must make a case as to how this organization’s output will help you explore key themes that we have encountered up to that point in the semester. These would include any combination of the themes that you have explored in your Global Media Personality paper(I uploaded this paper, so you can see it).
*Keep in mind that your chosen platform can absolutely be American in origin (though transnational/multinationals are very much encouraged). You must make a case for how the output/content/traffic on this platform impacts to the global community, either through reach, audience, representation or by some other metric you can argue for.
*IMPORTANT:
You are strongly encouraged to use this second project to build upon your Global Media Icon Biopic(I uploaded the Global Media Icon Biopic doc). The idea is that you will spend the semester exploring a unified field of inquiry—one that a biopic and media/platform review would speak to. For example, if you written about Mark Zuckerberg for your first piece, you might write about the impact and acquisition of Instagram in your second piece. If you’ve written about Oprah Winfrey in your first piece, you might consider exploring her most recent innovation with the O network and magazine. If you’ve written about Kylie Jenner and/or the Kardashians you might consider writing about innovations on their Twitter handles.
(2) Include a minimum (3)-article bibliography that you have drawn from in your piece.
(3) Creatively title and subtitle your piece.
