Audience Analysis Short Report

Consider how the audience shapes our technical documents. We have
both primary and secondary audiences, and those audiences influence our genre and design choices as well
as our sentence-structure and vocabulary. Effective technical writing always considering the audiences’
background, interest, needs, and purposes.
Looking more carefully at the articles posted on the previous page related to bipolar
disorder in children and teens (example #1 for a General Audience and example #2 for a Specialized
Audience), what differences do you see between the two articles? Vocabulary? Sentence-length? Style? Tone?
Content?
Consider the following questions regarding audience and purpose:
How are these articles designed to present information to a specific audience?
Are these articles designed primarily for one audience or one purpose?
How are secondary audiences and purposes addressed? Which resource would be more helpful for those
secondary audiences?
How would you describe the “style” and “tone” of the articles? How are these appropriate to their intended
audiences and purposes?
What specific words, phrases, or sentences from the document illustrate your points?
Why were these choices essential or relevant? How do these stylistic choices, for instance, reflect the needs or
interests of the specific audiences?

Good Morning, I have the task of writing a short application that usesconditionals to create a “fork

Good Morning, I have the task of writing a short application that usesconditionals to create a “forked” branching structure for therecipe manager. Whenever a program accepts user input, it is best practice to besure the input is what you as the programmer expect. As youcontinue to develop the recipe manager, you will need to be able tovalidate user input and ensure that the user enters values that arevalid. In this lab, you will write a short program that first, tests that the input is numerical, then checks that the number iswithin a specific range, and checks that the maximum number of cupsof our main ingredient is 100 and that the minimum number of cupsis 1. This application uses the Scanner class to accept a numberbetween 1 and 100 from the user. The Scanner class is useful forparsing primitive values, including numbers. Specifically, you will create a branching structure that leadsto the following output: If the number entered is between 1 and 100 (inclusive), theapplication will display a message that says, “Good job! The numberyou entered is___.” However, if the number entered is not between 1 and 100(inclusive), an error message will be displayed to inform the userthat the entry does not fit the expected range: “The number enteredwas not between 1 and 100!” Needs to be completed as a Java file Extending This Lab for Your Final Project For your finalproject, adapt your Ingredient Java file to include data-typevalidation steps for each of the variables in the class: ·ingredientName (String) · ingredientAmount (float) ·unitMeasurement (String) · Number of calories (double) . . .
