Hello,
Here are the instructions from the instructor on this assignment:
Practical Exercise: Requirements Definition
Overview
Up to this point in the project to develop the new inventory management system, you have been working with a series of practical exercise assignments related to the Planning Phase of the SDLC. Now it is time to begin working on the Analysis Phase.
As you will recall from the previous module, before we can design and create a new information system, system analysts first begin working in the Analysis Phase by determining who the system users will be and how they will use the system.
The first step in ‘solving these riddles’ is to conduct a Requirements Determination process, and then develop a Requirements Definition.
You will use the data that you create in this Requirements Definition activity to create two Casual Format Use Cases in Module 4.
Requirements
Create a Requirements Definition utilizing Microsoft Word. Before you begin to work on this activity, refer to the Requirements Definition example in the textbook.
Select this Requirements Definition Template (DOCX)
and fill in the blank sections with hypothetical business data. When you evaluate the various requirements that might be present when developing the inventory management system, consider those that might be related to an aviation-related company.
Submit your Requirements Definition data in a document that addresses the following:
Functional Requirements
- Functional requirement #1 (TWO or more).
- Functional requirement #2 (TWO or more).
- Functional requirement #3 (TWO or more).
Non-Functional Requirements
- Operational requirements (TWO or more).
- Performance requirements (TWO or more).
- Security requirements (TWO or more).
- Cultural & Political requirements (TWO or more)
