5 page Primary Source Analysis on an address to the U.N. Must cite at least 3 other sources in addition to the primary source. Both the Speech and prompt are included in attachments. Discuss which argument you find to be the most pressing for our international community and explain why, using theories and concepts we have covered in class. For instance, you may choose to focus on the Covid pandemic, global wars, the current climate crisis, rising poverty, gender inequality, cyber insecurities, etc. [Given space constraints, I would suggest that you focus on just one of Guterres’ arguments]. You might then consider how the issue relates to histories of colonialism, or forms of modern imperialism, rising nationalism, or globalization, etc.

• Reflect on your learning about Quantitative and Qualitative research; share two ways that helped you understand how they are different. • Choose one category of study design that you found interesting and describe; include what you learned about the design and how you believe it can help study nursing problems. • Refer back to your clinical nursing priority problem and evidence you located for your week 3 assignment: The nursing-evidenced practice (NEBP) committee has requested for you to make a recommendation to the team: Describe the type of research and the design that you believe would be the best way to study your problem. Discuss your rationale. I will send you my week 3 assignment as reference. Reference: Houser, J. (2018). Nursing Research: Reading, Using, and Creating Evidence (4th ed.). Case study/Discussion Board National Association of Social Workers –Florida Chapter’s Legislative Education and Advocacy Day (LEAD) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWBKIlNWl_M&feature=youtu.be Every year, the National Association of Social Workers—Florida Chapter organizes a two day visit to the State’s Capitol and Legislature in Tallahassee. Students and faculty representing the state’s 14-15 accredited schools of social work register and prepare in advance of this event. Prior to and during LEAD, students visit State Representatives and Senators in their district and/or State Capitol offices to discuss with them proposed legislation (bills) that is opposed or supported by Florida social workers. Prior to LEAD, the NASW-FL Chapter identifies a number of legislative priorities (15 priorities in 2021)—see attached—that serve as areas of policy-legislative interest for social workers. NASW-FL Chapter members work for several months to identify bills (or proposed legislation) of interest that fall under each of the 15 categories. As of 2/15/21, over 200 bills have been identified as bills of interest by the NASW-FL Chapter Legislative Committee. That large number of bills will be narrowed to 20-25 bills and, by early March 2021, the focus will be on 6-8 bills that have a chance to become laws (proposed legislation that goes through the legislative process and leaves the legislature for the Governor to decide to sign or veto).
