You will develop strength and conditioning programs for a total of 4 sports at your University/College, 2 major men’s sports and 2 major female sports. You may only choose one gender for a particular sport. For example you may not choose, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s volleyball, etc. Baseball and softball are considered similar in training and both sports cannot be used. The strength and conditioning program must provide clear team and individual position objectives. The strength and conditioning program must include a summer program and an in season program. No additional offseason program is necessary. Remember for the summer program, consider the athletes who do not have access to weight room equipment during the summer or are injured and insure modifications are present. Strength and conditioning programs must abide by the current ACSM resistance training guidelines and industry protocol for training for each chosen sport. Each team’s program must be able to be presented and accessible to players and coaches at the above mentioned yearly spring meeting after all post conference play is completeTopic Choice: Exercise Science: NCAA Division II Head Strength Coach

Guidelines: 3-5 pages, double-spaced; 12 pt Times New Roman; 1-inch Margins. MLA style for citations, including both in-text citations and a “works cited” at the end. Prompt: Use a comparative approach to explore one of the following three concepts across two texts. You may choose to work with any two of the following: Plato’s Apology, Lucretius’ On the Nature of Things, Augustine’s City of God. 1. The way in which death is described and theorized 2. The use of form and language to persuade an audience (e.g., rhetorical devices, use of genre or style, argumentative tropes) 3. The relationship between belief or unbelief and free will Be sure to ground your work in specific passages rather than resorting to generalizing statements. In comparing and contrasting your two texts, you should make a clear argument about how each treats the concept you’ve chosen, using textual evidence to support your claims. (You may, for example, opt to make an argument about the texts based on two key passages, of which you conduct a sustained and nuanced comparative reading.) Your comparison must be analytic — do not simply list similarities and differences between the two texts.
