The Cardigans are a very progressive with the way they do business, especially with keeping up with the latest laws and cases that pertain to individual rights and the impact that the laws have on business. They are planning to introduce a new line of clothing called “Scantily Clad” with the slogan, “So light You Won’t Know You are Wearing a Thing!” The local television station WBLAH told Candie Cardigan that it would not air such a commercial due to content. Furthermore, that it was not appropriate for children to view it. The Cardigans believe that this is old law and believe that they are protected under the First Amendment’s Freedom of Speech. Adult Learning Theories

In most institutes of higher education, faculty are expected to maintain a course both online and on ground. Faculty need to be comfortable with distance learning and need to understand that what they do face-to-face might need to be replicated online. Creating tools or resources that can work in both environments is critical.

Part 1: Learning Theories

Research and choose two different learning theories that are appropriate in postsecondary education. Using the Adult Learning Theories Chart, identify a standard and an objective that could be used in higher education. Using the standard and objective, you will identify and compare the learning theories and what they might look like in the different settings. In the table, you will focus on the comparison of the traditional learning environment and the distance learning environment and you will identify the following for each theory:

Description of the theory
Key concepts of the theory
What is the role of the instructor
What you want the student to know. Does this look different in different environments?
How the student demonstrates his/her knowledge?
Recommendation for incorporating technology.
Part 2: Technology Reflection

In a 350-500 words, summarize and reflect on the use technology and of various adult learning theories in different situations and settings. How do you incorporate technology in a distance-learning environment? Would it look different than the traditional learning environment? Explain how you will use your findings in your future professional practice.

Support your findings with 2-3 scholarly resources.

Submit your Learning Theories Chart and Reflection as one deliverable.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
