HEURISTIC EVALUATION the website “https://www.gamersgate.com/”
You are required to use Nielsen’s 10 heuristics for this assignment, available online at http://www.useit.com/papers/heuristic/heuristic_list.html
This is a blog post so you do not write an introduction like in an essay.
—-*Write a blog post covering the following points, in this order, using subheadings to separate each point:*
more screenshots the better
1. Identify the website you selected (including a screenshot), and briefly describe the site being evaluated.
2. Describe the scenario you used to focus your evaluation, and explain how you approached the site with respect to the usability heuristics.
3. Provide a detailed analysis of the usability flaws you found for this site, along with a) the heuristics each flaw violates, and b) an explanation of why this flaw violates those heuristics.
4. Discuss some possible design recommendations that could improve the site, explaining how each recommended change would address the usability flaws you identified above. For full credit, your write-up must provide a thoughtful analysis that draws solid conclusions based on your findings.
{To guide your analysis of the site, you are required to identify a scenario of use that describes how a representative user might approach interacting with this site. This can be very general — if you were evaluating a travel website, for example, you might think about someone trying to cash in all their frequent flier points, or someone trying to trade in a ticket for a first class seat, or someone simply looking for the best deal from point a to point b. Your goal here is to develop a basic scenario that will guide your heuristic evaluation.
Guided by this scenario, you will then systematically evaluate the interface (or a portion thereof) of your chosen site, checking to see which interface elements you encounter (if any), while following your scenario, violate any of Nielsen’s heuristics. You should work from your scenario, and NOT work from the heuristics (i.e., don’t take each heuristic one at a time, looking for heuristic violations on the site).}

Introduction: At the beginning of this assignment you should have already chosen three web pages to evaluate. Depending upon the type and relationship among the web pages/sites, you may choose one of the following options.
Option II: The Synthesis Approach
If your web pages are all on the same general topic (i.e., dog breeding), you may find the Synthesis Approach easiest. You will compare the visual elements of the pages, as well as the content — and you’ll deal with all three pages at once. Follow this rubric for writing in the Synthesis mode:
Introduction: At the beginning of your paper you will list the elements you are using to compare/contrast the web pages/sites (i.e., use of color, accuracy and currency of information). You will reveal, in your opening paragraph(s), how you rank the sites — again, from best to worst or from worst to best.
Body Element One: Discuss how your first element relates to the web sites you’re evaluating. For example, you might choose currency of information (see handout) and rank your pages based on how recently they were updated.
Body Element Two: Discuss all three web pages/sites in relationship to the second element.
Body Element Three: Discuss your third element in relationship to the three web pages/sites.
Conclusion: As with Option I, you will repeat some elements of your Introduction here.
General Format:
Length: 3-5 pages (700-1,200 words), double spaced with one-inch margins.
Compatibility: You must submit your paper in Microsoft Word, or as a MS Word document that you have written in another program (i.e., WordPerfect) and saved as a MS Word file. Use Times New Roman font, 12-point type size.
Grammar: This counts! You must thoroughly proofread your paper before submitting it.
Hyperlinks: Be sure to include hyperlinks to each of the sites in the first paragraph and then, again, later in the essay. You’ll want to include links to any specific pages you discuss in your essay.
Supplemental Materials: You are expected to use the handout on evaluating web pages as a foundation for your critique. Use the terminology from the handout whenever possible, and try to address as many of the elements of evaluation as you can. You are not expected to use all the elements — let your situation be your guide, here.

The Stanford Prison Experiment is considered to be quite controversial. On the one hand, there seem to be several ethically questionable aspects to the experiment; on the other hand, the experiment exposed some extraordinary results in the field of psychology.
What are the ethical considerations that should have been considered in this study? Were the results of the experiment worth possibly compromising its ethics? What would you have done differently? Does the information in the 2018 article change your thinking about the Stanford Prison Experiment?
