For example, “Don’t say, “OK,” “Uh-huh,” or any other thing while the subject is speaking, unless the person you are interviewing asks you for confirmation that you understand.Be sure to ask questions your readers and viewers would want to know.Finish up your interview by asking the subject if there’s anything else he or she would like people to know about the topic you are discussing. Your claims about the genre classification of your primary sources are key components of your thesis statement.
Deliver a thesis statement that explains how and why your primary texts convey insights that are culturally, socially, politically, and/or scientifically meaningful to us today. You will need to use secondary sources to help you to situate your analysis of your primary sources in these contexts. In other words, deliver a thesis statement that explains the rhetorical work accomplished by your primary texts and their genre(s).
