1.    In reading the chapter on Easter, why was this holiday more significant in ancient time compared with Christmas? How did the origin affect celebration (the author notes that there are four layers to Easter)?
2.    How has increased secularism affected the celebration of the holiday?–please use outside sources as you would like to support your points.
3.    How does the auspiciousness of a holiday (look at the New Year article) affect optimism in behavior specific to the stock market? In comparing behavior related to the New Year, how does culture affect the economic framework–in other words do all cultures appear to value financial returns as based on holiday outcome?

Many people fall into different traps of reading the Gospels. One may read Scripture superficially, and apart from their canonical context. This may lead to dangerous interpretations and a disregard for God as the unifying author of Scripture. Equally troubling is the mistake of reading the Scriptures apart from, or contrary to, orthodox Christian beliefs. This may lead to dangerous interpretations and a disregard for sound biblical truth and a denial of the apostolic teachings of the New Testament.
Watch the following videos to see several points of view intended to help us learn how to read the Gospels the way in which they were designed and respond to the discussion accordingly.
Only watch from minute marker 10:30–16:45 on Son to Father relationship and also from minute marker 31:15–39:55 on Christ’s resurrection.
After watching, compose your thoughts in a discussion post. Consider the following thoughts and questions to discuss in your initial post:
Summarize what you learned from the videos.
How do the thoughts and strategies presented in the videos coincide or conflict with your experience or what you’ve been taught regarding the Scriptures?
How can you apply this content to your own personal Bible study, your other classes, or other opportunities?
Video for the assignment in link below, thank you for all your hard work.

In your initial post, explain your connection in at least 1 paragraph. Use evidence from 1 of the resources that you read or watched this week that supports your thinking.
Among city park objects, you may choose (but are not limited to) 1 of the following:

Jogging trail
Baseball field
Frisbee golf
Pond or fountain
Grove of trees
Ducks or pigeons
Kite
To successfully accomplish this assignment, follow these steps:
State the criticism you have chosen (source, form, redaction, literary).
State the park object you chose from the list above.
Cite 1 source from your readings this week that encapsulates the point of similarity between the criticism you chose and the park object (be sure to provide quotation, cite the source, give page number).
Explain in your own words how the criticism you chose is like that park object. Explain the similarities in 2–3 sentences.

This week, you will read the article written by Sorokowski et al. (2015), attached. Then, you will write a paper that includes the following:
A description of the purpose of the research, the hypotheses, and the methods used to test the hypotheses.
A description of the variables that were measured in the research and the level of measurement for each variable (i.e., nominal, ordinal, interval, or ratio).
A description of the sample used in the research. Your description should include a discussion regarding the diversity (e.g., age, sex, race, etc.) of the sample.
For example, was the sample representative of a particular population or was it simply a convenience sample?
A discussion to determine if the ethical guidelines were followed in the recruitment and testing of participants.
A summary of the results and conclusions.
A description of the measures of central tendency (i.e., mean, median, or mode) and variability (e.g., standard deviation) reported by the authors.
This should include specific examples of how central tendency and variability were reported in the article; you should not include general definitions for these terms.
