Background:  In your previous assignments, you used a general model of program planning to develop a comprehensive community-based health promotion program. In the Unit 9 Assignment, you will continue to practice your use of a general planning model to create a workplace wellness program.

Instructions:  Choose a workplace within the community as the focus of your workplace wellness program. This could be your own workplace or another workplace with which you are familiar. This is a 2 part assignment in which you will create a written workplace wellness program plan and a brief oral presentation.

Part 1: Written Workplace Wellness Program Plan

Your Assignment should be approximately 35 pages in length, written in essay format and include appropriate supporting citations and references in APA format. Address the topics listed below. Bolded items will help guide your work in Part 2 of the assignment, the Oral Presentation.

Discuss how the needs assessment process should be used to identify health and wellness needs in a workplace setting.
Determine the appropriate health focus of the workplace wellness program (i.e., general wellness, stress management, diet and fitness, smoking cessation, etc.)
Discuss the demographic composition of the workforce.
Discuss the role of leadership in supporting, modeling, and championing workplace wellness efforts.
Create a workplace health improvement plan that includes:
A mission statement
Measurable goals (at least 2) and objectives (at least 3) that align with overall business/organizational objectives
A theory or model of health behavior to guide the program. Consider individual and organizational theories of change.
Intervention activities (at least 3) that support the goals and objectives
A discussion of how the intervention activities incorporate cultural competence and address diversity within the organization
A discussion of budget line items and estimated total program cost
Defined roles and responsibilities for key stakeholders
An evaluation plan with at least 2 evaluation questions. You may present the evaluation plan in paragraph form or complete an evaluation matrix.
A summarizing conclusion that describes a plan for program sustainability.

Please respond to christina with 250 wordsThe Second Industrial Revolution impacted people’s lives in several different ways. One way was the major boom in the railroad industry. With the rapid expansion of the trans-continental railroads, job opportunities exploded. mobility of people and goods expanded, and the country became more urban industrial. This resulted in an economic boom for many people as well as different industries. Another big impact was the surge in technological development. Before the Industrial Revolution, many things were done by hand, such as cotton looming, which was a painstakingly slow process. With the invention of the electrical loom, production was much faster and more efficient. Electricity was a huge advancement, enabling the use of the light bulb (Thomas Edison), and industrial machinery.These are both very positive impacts, but there was also the striking division between the classes. With a newly realized Working Class separated from the Middle and Upper class elites. The working class were distinctively poorer, unskilled, and denied access to basic necessities such as healthcare, medicine, livable wages, education. The death and injury rates were high due to the dangers of the employment. They worked long hours with little rest and no set pay rate. Working class people were stigmatized as being at fault for their own poverty, being less intelligent, lazy, and “unclean”.While the working class were suffering, the middle class enjoyed the fruits of their new-found wealth. Mainly white professional men, they formed social clubs where they could participate in leisurely activities. They also were presented with better opportunities through familial connections and class affiliations. They were afforded higher education through Ivy League schools and elite institutions. All while discriminating against anyone considered “beneath” them.
