Imagine you are presenting at a technology conference. The organizers of the conference have asked all of the breakout session leaders to write articles for the conference website as a way to help promote the conference. You have decided your article will be about society prior to the technological advances you will discuss in your breakout session at the conference. Choose three technological advances to focus on for this assignment as well as the Week 2 Signature Assignment. Write a 350- to 700-word article in which you discuss the following for each technological advancement: What was society like prior to each technological advancement? What were the benefits of not having each technological advancement? What were the consequences or issues because each technological advancement was absent? How did people define and present themselves in society prior to each technological advancement? What was the state of social equity prior to each technological advancement? Cite a minimum of 2 peer-reviewed sources. Format your paper according to APA guidelines. 1. Choose 3 technological advances to focus on for this assignment as well as the Week 2 Signature Assignment. (Examples include smartphones, cellphones, TV’s, electricity, answering machines, computers, Artificial intelligence (such as Siri or Alexa), ride share apps, etc. You do not have to use current technology). Focus on the technology and not the brand (i.e. smartphones not iphones or video conferencing not Zoom)/ 2. Write a 350- to 700-word (total) article in which you discuss the following for each technological advancement (you MUST address all 5 questions) A. What was society like prior to each technological advancement? (Be specific.) B. What were the benefits of not having each technological advancement? (provide examples to support your points). C. What were the consequences or issues because each technological advancement was absent? (what where the issues that were solved by the technology?) D. How did people define and present themselves in society prior to each technological advancement? (What were people like before each advancement you are writing about? For example ….how did they communicate, socialize, learn, travel, work, etc.) E. What was the state of social equity prior to each technological advancement? (Was social equality better or worse before the technological advancement? Did the advancement contribute to inequality? For instance, do all people have access to the technology, or did the technology create more of a division between rich and poor? (BE DETAILED). Cite a minimum of 2 peer-reviewed sources. (This is in addition to the text and does not include Wikipedia). Format your paper according to APA guidelines. (If you are unfamiliar with APA format, the Center for Writing Excellence can help you.) Please proofread your work. I strongly recommend that you clearly identify the 3 types of technology you will be focusing on in your intro. Example:” In this article, I will be discussing the impact of 1. smartphones, 2 video conferencing and 3. electricity on society.” Use headings for each advancement and/or for each question. Include the question in your opening paragraph. For example: “Before the typewriter was invented in XXXX, society……” and “The benefits of NOT having a typewrite include…..” “The consequences (or issues in society because we did not have typewriters were…….”

Please reply to this discussion by sharing ideas for how shortcomings discovered in their evaluations and/or their examples of incivility could have been managed more effectively. Workplace Environment Assessment The workplace environment plays an essential role in influencing staff engagement and productivity. A healthy workplace should cater to all staff’s physical, social, and psychological health in an organization. According to Clark (2016), unsafe and stressful healthcare workplace environments reduce employees’ loyalty to an organization. However, a safe work environment promotes good communication, understanding, teamwork, and productivity. One of the crucial aspects of a healthy workplace is civility, which is the formal courtesy in behavior and speech. Creating and maintaining a healthy workplace is challenging and expensive; however, the benefits leaped far outweigh the shortcomings. This paper evaluates the results of my workplace environment assessment and an explanation of how civil it is. Equally, the paper will describe a situation in the workplace where I have experienced incivility. Work Environment Assessment Results After completing Clark Healthy Workplace Inventory, my workplace scored 85, which is a positive indicator of a moderate healthy workplace, according to Clark (2016). Attributes such as employee satisfaction, wellness, morale, unity, and transparency emerged at the top of the assessment. According to Muliira, Natarajan, and Van der Colff (2017), attributes such as the one mentioned above are personal motivation factors that are critical for a workplace to have a healthy attribute. However, the workplace also recorded some low scoring attributes in the assessment inventory, such as shared vision and sufficient promotion and career development opportunities. Notably, the low scores seemed to be more on attributes whose responsibility is o the organization, which may indicate a faulty organization structure and policies that deal with employees’ welfare (Samnani & Singh, 2016). However, the immediate work environment of the attributes related to the individual staff scored fairly good. My workplace environment assessment demonstrated that the organization is civil. In a civil environment, everyone’s input is recognized and valued by the organization. Within the organization, each department leader holds accountability for demonstrating organizational values, which is essential for civility to thrive. Additionally, leaders exhibit values and make it clear to meet the organizational objective. Incivility Incident at the Workplace A situation where I experienced incivility when I joined my current workplace. When I joined the organization, staff were being moved to form a team to run a newly open section for the elderly in the community. My preceptor took me to the team where we work well as a team. Everyone in the team understood his or her responsibilities. However, conflict emerged when a new registered nurse (RN) was added to the team. For instance, the new RN often claims that they were doing things differently from where she came. She would question most other people’s work, saying they were doing the wrong things. Additionally, the RN requested to be put in another team, claiming that our team had clashing personalities. However, the organization’s leadership overlooked the situation, and nothing happened to the nurse despite reporting her behaviors. The work environment that was previously civil went to not civil over a short period after the new RN joined the team. The organization employed several mediation levels to address the issue, including between person to person and as a team. Mediation entails the use of an impartial person to help team members resolve their disagreements. The supervisor insisted on solving the difference with the team without having a member change leave the team. Eventually, the RN left the organization after she found another job. The Clark Healthy Workplace Inventory has proved to be an essential tool that provides a quantitative figure on workplace health. Notably, my workplace, which I thought was a perfect workplace environment, scored 85 of all the inventory elements. It was revealed through the inventory that some of the workplace health factors were not optimal and required to be improved. Additionally, civility was revealed as an important indicator of workplace health. References Clark, C. M. (2016). As you’ve learned, we divide the study of lifespan development into three broad

As you’ve learned, we divide the study of lifespan development into three broad categories: conception through childhood, adolescence, and adulthood to death. In this assignment, you will be looking at the first broad category, which is adulthood, and applying your research to compare and contrast two of the lifespan theorists. Step One:
Please choose two theorists from the list below. You may select different theorists or keep these for the subsequent assignments.
Freud’s psychosexual stage theory
Erikson’s psychosocial stage theory
Kohlberg’s moral understanding stage theory
Piaget’s cognitive development stage theory
Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems theory
Step Two:
Research your selected theorists. The embedded text in this course will help, and you may also use resources from the approved list of websites given to you in your syllabus:
Websites:
Here is an approved list of websites that you are allowed to use for research in addition to .edu or .gov resources:

Step Three:
Use the template to write your paper. Title Page
Introduction
Introduction to your lifespan span (adulthood). If you are not an adult yet, project into the future.
Overview of your two theorists and their theories
Body Paragraph One: Identify the parts of each theory that are relevant to this lifespan stage.
Body Paragraph Two:
Discuss the similarities of the theorists and their theoretical stages in relation to this particular lifespan timespan.
Give specific examples of each of the similar stages. (How would an infant/toddler/early childhood child demonstrate that he/she was in X stage for X theorist, which parallels X stage for X theorist?) Body Paragraph Three:
Contrast the theoretical stages in relation to this particular lifespan stage. Where are there differences between what your two theorists believe?
Give specific examples of each of the stages where the theorists differ. (How would an infant/toddler/early childhood child demonstrate that he/she was in X stage for X theorist, but according to theorist #2, a child would behave like this in this stage?) Conclusion: Summarize the key points from your essay. Why would knowing these stages be important? Other important things to note:
This assignment is a WORD document that is attached and submitted through safe assign (check the plagiarism tool box before hitting submit). pdf or other document types will NOT be accepted.
I expect a title page, reference page (with more than just Siegler as this is extra research oriented), citations within the paragraphs, etc. according to APA format.
I also expect the headings as given in your template for the paper.
Except for the initial introduction that asks you to talk briefly about your lifespan related to the stage, the rest of the paper should follow formal language without “I, we, you,” etc. Avoid contractions – instead of “can’t,” use “cannot,” etc.
Use your own words rather than rely on quotations or copying and pasting or just changing a few words – that is considered plagiarism.
Show me your understanding of the content in simple words.
You final product should be a 2-3 page paper, not including your title page or reference page. *You will be submitting this paper to SafeAssign. If your originality report returns above 15% I will automatically evaluate your sources. Please make sure you are correctly embedding and documenting with in-text citations your sources.
