They mention the life of Archbishop Oscar Romero as illustrative of a person who stepped back and saw and experienced something larger and bigger than he had previously known. The following is attributed to him, “… the kingdom is not only beyond our efforts, it is even beyond our vision… we are workers, not master builders; ministers, not messiahs. We are prophets of a future not our own.” As you watch the film and read Campbell-Johnson’s summary of his life, note how the Archbishop’s life speaks to social justice – and even beyond this.
