Some perceive the HRM function in an organization as tedious, focused on enforcing rules and regulations and ‘pushing paper’. In fact, the HRM process is of strategic importance to an organization because without the ‘others’ (remember management is getting work done through others) an organization will flounder and fail. The HRM process is what brings the ‘others’. How companies identify, attract and select talent is changing. How we apply and interview for jobs has changed and will continue to evolve as we move forward. That is going to affect you as a candidate and as a manager.
