  1. Compare your understanding of professional communications at midterm with your understanding of the topic before you started the course. Share something from the last five weeks that stood out to you – or surprised you. Will this realization change the way you communicate? Over the past five weeks I’ve realized that professional communications are much different that personal communication. The thing that stood out, most, to me was the ways you must word professional correspondances. They are two different dialects. I think learning these differences will help my interviewing skills and career progression.
  2. Communication is a skill that develops over time. Where do you envision your professional communication skills at the end of this course? What goal will you set out to achieve by Week 11? By the end of this course I envision having the skills needed to help my family and friends in these same areas. My goal is to successfully complete this course and move on to the next phase in my educational journey
  3. Looking at the next several weeks, what aspect of the class are you most looking forward to learning? Honestly speaking, I’m looking fforward to more practice exercises. Formatting the different types of letters is, also, strengthening my writing skills.

Question 1: Your final analysis should be of an article that you intend to use in your final paper–and it must be of a different article than you wrote your final summary of. A good strategy here would be to analyze an article that you intend to rebut. For example, if I were doing a paper on the Flat Earth Society, I would find an article or piece from their website that explains why they believe the earth is flat, and show why their “evidence” is pseudoscience. At least 580 words. MLA formatting.

The article you analyze should be of roughly the same length and complexity of the articles you have read for this class.

Question 2:Your final summary should be of an article that you intend to use in your final paper–and it must be of a different article than you did your final analysis on. A good strategy here would be to summarize an article that gives a good background on the issue you are focused on. For example, if I were doing a paper on the Flat Earth Society, I would find an article or piece from their website that explains the history of the society, its number of members, and perhaps tells why there has been an uptick in membership in the last few years.

The article you summarize should be of roughly the same length and complexity of the articles you have read for this class.

Again, you should look at the instructions for writing a summary, the sample summary available to you, my comments on your previous summaries, and perhaps watch the video explaining how one writes a summary. Last, do look at the rubric that will be used to evaluate your analysis. At least 500 words. MLA formatting.

Question 3: My prof gives me feedback,”This would not be a passing paper primarily because, as it is written there are a number of paragraphs filled with specific information that has no source offered to explain where that information was found. The works cited in here is very confusing. Your paper cites sources not listed on your works cited page, and your works cited page lists sources not mention anywhere in the book. The sources used i the paper should match exactly the ones mentioned on the works cited page.” Please revise this assignment carefully. Thank you:)
