Overview
The members of the United Nations found great value in the analysis you provided on the effects of global warming that result from population growth. They are now asking you write an additional analysis to include further issues related to population growth. Here is the issue they have asked you to consider:
The member states of the United Nations seek to build food systems that can provide global food security which will feed everyone, everywhere, every day by improving food quality though the promotion of effective and nutritional agricultural practices. The crucial issue is not the lack of food in the world but the access to that food. In many developing countries, food shortages are due to governmental control over food distribution. These governments maintain control of the population and their power by limiting access to nutritious food to certain groups. In this practice, they thereby “weaponize” food.
Your second project as a consultant for the United Nations is to develop an analysis that addresses three issues related to global food insecurity caused by global population growth and poverty, and to explore these issues in a developing country of your choosing.

Content
The U.N. has asked that your paper contain three sections. Each section should be one page (or approximately 300 words) in length and answer specific questions, identified in the outline below. It also asks that you use examples from your developing country when answering the questions.
Introduction
Provide an introduction of half a page minimum that addresses points 1–5 below:
1.    Explain the problem the U.N. has asked you to address in your own words.
2.    Identify the three sections your paper will cover.
3.    Identify the developing country you will consider.
4.    Tell the U.N. the causes of food insecurity.
5.    Provide a one-sentence statement of your solutions at the end of your introduction paragraph.

Success Tips

•    The U.N. needs facts and objective analysis on which to base future policy decisions. Avoid personal opinion and make sure your answers are based on information you find through research.

There must be a minimum of eight (8) peer – reviewed journal articles on the reference page. The textbook can only be used on a VERY limited basis and this instructor prefers it not be used and if it is it is in addition to the 8 peer reviewed articles.  Additional resources can come from books, documentaries, news articles and other articles from REPUTABLE internet sources are acceptable if the student can identify who wrote the article, who published the article and when the article was written.  These sources should be used on a limited basis and not make up the majority of the information in your paper.  Wikipedia is not an acceptable resource for the purpose of this assignment.  Other sources besides the peer reviewed journal articles are in addition to the 8 resources.  There should be NO LESS than 8 journal articles.
Diversity and Religion
1.Introduction – How does Religion intersect with peace, provide meaning to different cultures? What prejudices exist in different cultures?  How can we build faith and embrace Diversity?  In what ways do Religion and ethics intersect? What effects do religious beliefs have on quality of life and how people handle challenges? Do certain religious practices result in followers achieving higher education? Are Certain Religions seen as a threat to others?
2.Literature Review – I found a common theme of believers of different faiths coming together and supporting each other as communities. That some faiths have prejudices against others. Some religions intersect with cultural classes.  Some cultures rely on their faith to get through hardships. Some faiths are extremists and are unfairly targeted because of terrorist attacks committed by extremist cells.
3.Theory – I found a lot of the material that we discuss in the discussions to be very relevant to the material that I have researched for the paper.  Some belief systems accept the LGBTQ+ communities while others condemn them, and some even see being LGBTQ+ as having a spiritual gift. I will connect theories of classism, racism, income as well as common prejudices. I found different intersections on how race, class, sexuality, as well as your geographical area come into play with the importance of religious beliefs on a culture.
b. I found a lot of good information that states how beliefs are important where how they are less important.  Causes for prejudice.  Customs, history, and traditional rituals of different faiths and how these different faiths see and interact with each other.
c. In the Holy land the Islamic Community is divided, some sects of Islam consider people that don’t adhere to their beliefs to be infidels and deserving of death.  Some Americans condemned Islam as a whole after the 9/11 attacks on September 11th 2001.
d. The theory that people of like groups stick together was reinforced by researching the historical contexts, customs, holidays as well as history and traditions.
e. I think my questions are important in understanding what about a religious belief is important in a social/cultural context. There are over 500 different Gods being worshipped today.  I only am touching on a few of them.  I think to fully understand the diversity of religious beliefs on a culture more need to be looked at. The articles were short and succinct in nature I think I will probably have to search for a few more articles to deepen the content that I have.
Conclusion – I will talk about the answers to the questions that I answered again and sum up the main ideas that I present in my paper and then I will end with a statement that closes in a decisive manner.
