Framing a Data Analytics Study using CRISP-DM

In this project you are to frame a data analytics problem using the CRISP-DM framework. You must clearly
explain the problem you are addressing and discuss how each generic task outlined in the figure below applies
to the problem.
You are free to select a project based on:
A scenario where you are planning to open a business and need to think about how to do market analysis to
assess the likelihood of the business being successful at a particular location.
You will not conduct a study. Instead you will discuss the data analytics problem/process that you have
selected within the context of the CRISP-DM framework and what you see as the challenging issues for each
generic task (bold phrases shown in the figure). As an example, the IBM SPSS Modeler CRISP-DM Guide is
included below. This guide demonstrates a CRISP-DM data analytics plan for an e-retail example.
Deliverables
At the end of this effort you will submit a single continuous report including the elements listed below.
Executive summary (no more than one page)
Introduction (one or more paragraphs)
