competency approach for the company Barker Foods

7-S Leadership Competency Assignment

Your assignment here is to choose a competency approach for the fictional company Barker Foods, justify the approach, and describe how the approach should be implemented across the 7 dimensions profiled in the article Organizational Alignment:  The 7-S Model
The Barker Foods Case is reviewed in the article The Very Model of a Senior Manager from Harvard Business Review, January, 2007.  This can be found under content/additional articles.  The article reviews three tentative competency frameworksone based upon letting senior managers define their leadership behaviors somewhat independently (We can call this the autonomous model), a research-based model that carefully lays out behaviors shown to be effective and expected to be demonstrated by all, and a values-based model in which some key values are emphasized as guidance for competency.
Choose one of these approaches and spend more than one page justifying the approach.  For the next 2-3 pages say how the company would need to use the 7-S dimensions to implement the approach.  Youll be graded based upon using the 7-S dimension accurately and consistently with your chose competency approach and other 7-S dimensions.
I suggest you dont waste space summarizing each dimension; assume I know them, but be sure to use them accurately.  For example, skills is not so much about the people skills but more about the distinctive competencies of the company.
Your paper should be 3-4 pages double-spaced, 12 point font, 1 inch margin.
