Outline the relationship between political and administrative actors in Canada’s Westminster system

Outline the relationship between political (specifically, Cabinet and First Minister) and administrative (specifically, bureaucratic) actors in Canada’s Westminster system.
In your answer, be sure to outline:
the general role of each actor;
the role of each actor in decision-making; and,
the accountability of each actor.
Then, identify one potential weakness or challenge to the relationship between political and administrative actors in Canada’s Westminster system. Finally, develop an argument how you would address that challenge/weakness that you identified.
It is impossible to provide an estimated length for an ‘A’ answer. The best advice is to layout your answer and be sure to answer all the points above carefully. Also, be sure to have a clear and forceful thesis early on in your essay.

The question will be sufficiently broad to allow students to concentrate on the topics that they want to explore. However, students must ensure that when answering the question that they draw on the course materials (i.e. students who opt to discuss cannabis legislation, while interesting, is not part of the course materials so be sure to draw on the material that you have learned such as the role of Cabinet, role of public servants, how municipalities fit into how government works in Canada (or does not fit!), etc).
Essays must have a clear, concise and forceful thesis statement along with a proper introduction and conclusion.  The essay is meant to be an argumentative exercise, not a descriptive exercise, so be sure to develop a logical and coherent argument. The essay questions will be broad, and not narrowly focused, to allow you to develop an argument. I encourage you to review the overall learning objectives of the entire course which include:

It is not possible to estimate the length required for an A answer, but one paragraph is very, very, very unlikely to be enough. Please do not ask what the required length is because each writer is different: some are more succinct, some are not so it is impossible to answer this question with any precision, but ideally 12-15 paragraphs should be sufficient (remember, a paragraph can not consist of just one sentence).

Boeing 737 Max Ethical Lapse Case Write-up

Please summarize the case of  the latest issue, Boeing involving the 737 Max aircraft. You can use any website like cnn.com, cnbc.com, bbc.co.uk, Bloomberg, economictimes.com, Time, Fortune etc.  Please answer the questions given below in a total of 2 pages. You can use the write style of VW Case and it format.

what issues Boeing faced regarding the 737 Max airplane, how they dealt with the issue, Boeings organizational cultures contribution to the issue, and consequences faced by Boeing and the world. Arent these the sections that the VW case discusses?

Towards the end, write one or two lines on the similarities you observe between the ethical lapses in the two companies (VW and Boeing) and use exhibit 6.5 to discuss it.

(double-spaced, TNR 12 font size, 1-inch margin) in APA format. Includes references page and in-text citations.

Workplace Harassment & Discrimination

Much attention is given to the issue of harassment and discrimination in the workplace.  The cornerstone to addressing this challenge is achieving organizational awareness.  Training can help raise awareness.  Develop an outline of a training program that would raise awareness of harassment and discrimination in the workplace for a small company with 75 employees.  The outline should include (1) topics to be addressed (2) specific examples of harassment and/or discrimination that will not be tolerated (3) how complaints are to be made and to whom (4) who should attend a training session and (5) all strategies (including a training session for employees) you will create to address, combat and pro-actively deal with harassment and discrimination in the workplace.

There is no set cap or limit on the words per answer, but as a guideline and base requirement, you must write at least 350 words per answermoreover, you are required to list the word count for each answer at the header for each short essay. Be sure that each answer follows a clear sub-heading in your paper that corresponds to the below questions, and please ensure that your answers are written out in the order below. In other words, make it clear and neatly formatted so that I can read easily (past exams have been marked down when students answer the questions out of order and did not identify which question was being answered, etc). You are welcome to use any outside resources you wish, but interacting with readings from the class is essential. Please footnote any citations you use, and of course give due credit for arguments you employ (or quote) that are not your own. Citations are NOT required, but they typically appear in essays that are thorough and thoughtful–interacting with other’s ideas tends to promote your own, and in this final, citations are encouraged beyond the course sources themselves as able. It’s up to you which citation format you’d like to use, but I recommend Chicago Manual of Style or MLA style; both of these style guides have a number of online summaries (with examples) ready for your easy inspection.

1.In your personal (bio)ethical thinking, is there any singular moral theory(or religious or theoretical system of thinking) that is particularly influential, one that provides a foundation for your moral thinking and life? Describe and define this theory/way of life, and explain why is this theory/way of life most meaningful and persuasive to you (with examples/illustrations as best able)?

2.Key to Engelhardts challenge or critique of principlism in bioethics is his assertion that there is no one, agreed-upon bioethic but rather pluralistic and rival bioethics (in the plural). Do you agree or disagree with Englehardts critique of principlism and common morality in bioethics?

3.The Hippocratic Oath is frequently appealed to in medicine and bioethics, yet many are not aware of the below lines that directly address physician assisted suicide and abortion. Before answering this question,  read the Hippocratic Oath (see Appendix below) and then compare/ contrast the type of ethical thinking revealed in the Hippocratic Oath and in your textbook chapters on PAS and abortion. In other words: how are opinions formed, or what are the major appeals (the foundational thinking) evidenced in this ancient ethic and in modern ethics?
I will neither give a deadly drug to anybody who asked for it, nor will I make a suggestion to this effect. Similarly I will not give to a woman an abortive remedy. In purity and holiness I will guard my life and my art.

4.Is it important that Henrietta Lacks HeLa Cells belong to her/her family in perpetuity? Why or why not? In other words, what is the fundamental issue at stake in the Henrietta Lacks case?

5.Describe the cultural backgrounds (including religious and philosophical influences as appropriate) that undergird the different practices of truth telling between physicians and patients in the US and Hong Kong.
