Prison Overcrowding Problem

Pick a side
Now that you’ve thoroughly examined both sides if the Prison Overcrowding Problem, it’s time to pick a side.

At this juncture and based one what you’ve learned through your research on the topic, you need to decide what you think would work best to alleviate the prison overcrowding problem. You’ll need to focus your attention on THREE ways in which to address the problem. So for instance, you may argue that 1.) building more prisons; 2.) legalizing certain drugs; and 3.) improving alternative sentencing options may be the best way to address the problem. Or perhaps you might choose, 1.) longer mandatory sentencing to increase the deterrent effect; 2. ) prison reform so that it’s not such a “pleasurable” experience; and 3.) privatizing the prison system.

Child’s ability to identify letters, understand sounds and codes to build words

The tile test needs to be done first. The recording sheet is attached. It will be submitted as part of the report. The other attachment article can be used as one of the resources. The MODEL PHONICS.pdf is an example of what my professor is looking for in my report. Use the video and recording sheet, then, base the paper and any resources off the report findings.

Tile Test Assessment Report
Description: In this report, you will discuss your child’s ability to identify letters, understand sounds and codes to build words, sight words, words within sentences, and sentence conventions. You will also discuss the tutorial lesson you conducted on your Tile Test and the student’s response to the lesson. Use the child’s first name (Ashton) in this report. Submit a 1.5-2 page, double-spaced report that includes a brief paragraph about your student, the results of your lesson, the results of the assessments, your evaluation of the assessments, and instructional recommendations. You should attach the assessment sheets, your anecdotal notes, and the rubric as a separate document in the assignment box with your notes.

Scott pilgrim vs the world directed by Edgar Wright

Movie to write about: Scott pilgrim vs the world directed by Edgar Wright
You will write a term paper (5-8 pages) for this class. You will need to turn in: 1) a brief paragraph describing your topic; 2) a description of your research plan; and, 3) a working thesis statement and a brief outline of your paper prior to the paper due dates, as outlined in the schedule. Papers must be typed and double-spaced, with standard one-inch margins and 12-point font. Papers are evaluated in terms of their responsiveness to the assignment and to the material presented in class and in the readings, the logical coherence of their arguments, their quality of organization, their rhetorical sophistication, as well as their adherence to grammatical conventions. All papers should reference specific sources and be presented in MLA (Modern Language Association). Outside research is highly recommended; you can access numerous books and articles on film in the Luria Library.
