The business applies design principles and develop new products intended to help users who aren’t familiar with the typical iconography and language of the web, and builds products primarily for the smartphones this group is likely to be using, as opposed to computers. I interned at SensaRecruiting.com with owner Amy Fink. My tasks included generating research questions and planning a weekly professional development powerpoint. This included working a graphic designs for promotion, personalized profile icons for each panelist, content for several week of power points with a different topic every week. Topics included your personal brand as an employee, social media etiquette and best email practices. I had to schedule various meetings with the sensa team, the additional interns and my supervisor.
I’ve attached a bunch of notes and even our ppt to help you gauge what I was doing.
I have included the syllabus of 3 previous social work courses I’ve taken to help you answer one of the sessions of the paper.
I actually write and record music myself. During the pandemic I worked on a music video treatment for a song I wrote two years ago. It was therapeutic because the video walks through various insecurities that I have. listening to the song on repeat while visualizing the concept helped to keep me balanced. I also wrote a song during the pandemic which has been extremely therapeutic. I also shot a music video in 2 hours with 3 days of planning. the song was an affirmation for myself and others to remember who they are and how powerful they are. this was very helpful as I approached the end of the semester. working on music ideas for these last two songs helped my think about my spiritual journey and recovery of the loss of my daughter.
through everything i was doing to heal from my loss, i never included music. I am making an intentional choice to include music in my self care now as it inspires me and makes me happy.
what I’d like to do better next year is keep better track of my working hours and communication with my supervisor and director. as i started to get sick during the internship, the anxiety of my issues led me to remain more private. I need to do a better job disclosing my needs.
I would give myself a 3 out of 5 because I need improvement but when I do work, it’s normally good quality which I think could boost me to a 4 possibly.
