Lab Report is an individual research work (3-5 pages long) and may not be copied from Internet. Such copying is easy to detect and will result in disciplinary action by the Department.
Two options for your Lab Report are:
Lab 2. Chromatography. Describe the different types of chromatography: ion-exchange, gel filtration, reverse phase, hydrophobic, and the different formats of chromatography:  gas, liquid, capillary, thin layer chromatography (including paper), analytical, and preparative. Describe the factors affecting chromatographical separation: temperature, pressure, molecular weight, charge, and shape of molecules. Give examples, including paper chromatography in Lab#2.

Lab 8. Energy and catalysts. Define enzymes, substrates, and the process of catalysis. Provide examples of enzymes and the reactions they catalyze. Use the attached data in an Excel spreadsheet on: 1) pH dependence of enzymatic reaction and the temperature dependence of the enzymatic reaction for turnip peroxidase.
Use the following format for your Lab Report:
Title
Abstract
Introduction
Materials and Methods
Results Skip this section for Lab 2. Chromatography ONLY, as you have no data for this experiment. But write this section for Lab8. Energy and catalysts.

MS

Patricia, who is 37 years old, discusses with her physician recent symptoms that she has experienced including blurred vision, numbness in her fingers and face, dizziness, fatigue and weakness. The physician performs multiple neurological tests and she is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS).

What is MS?
Is MS a disease of the central or peripheral nervous system?
What is the main cell structure affected in MS?
How is the action potential of a neuron affected in MS?
The origins of MS are not clear. What do scientists hypothesize to be the causes of MS?

Managing global environmental problems.

We have discussed multiple approaches to managing global environmental problems. Discuss the strengths
of two different actors or institutions. This could include states, multilateral agreements, civil society,
international organizations, and private authority. How do two of these actors/institutions contribute to global
environmental cooperation? What is the main obstacle to greater effectiveness for each actor/institution? (Note
that there are two parts to this question) I will provide you a list of what I learned about the approaches in the
class, and please use that.

Urban Anthropods Report

Food were put into cages around backyard and left to be consumed by anthropods.
The food was weighed, and the mass was recorded
Make a comparison of consumption rate
As well as Consumption rates on the foods that were left
What percentage from the total was consumed?
Compare percentages consumed rather than total mass consumed
