Assignment: System Development Phase II

You now build upon your groups systems analysis, design, and database implementation. Based upon your program of study, you will begin your hands-on project development.

Read the Concentration Deliverables for Case Study document, which can be found in the Learning Resources. Complete the Unit 5 deliverable that is appropriate for your concentration area of study. Even if other members of your group are in the same concentration, you must create your deliverables independently. You are not responsible for other deliverables.

McDonald’s Case Analysis

For this case, you are to determine an external threat/opportunity to the company from the case material. This will be your Key Issue(s) for your case analysis. Each of your External Analysis Tools should focus on your chosen opportunity/threat. Each of your Internal Analysis Tools should focus on how the company aligns with that chosen opportunity/threat. You are to use the course Case Submission Template in its entirety.

Social commentary art

Social commentary art is any artwork that makes a statement about society either past or present. Choose an artist that creates work that fulfills this purpose.

A definition of social commentary can be found here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_commentary)

Issue can include: poverty, racism, AIDS, smoothing, drugs, crime, gangs, abuse, child abuse, family, violence, torture, modern slavery, terrorism, environmental issues, technology, relationships, war, political injustice, social criticism, feminist criticism

For a list of artists see below.

Your paper should:

Be at least 450 words  long

Discuss the background/biography of the artist

Describe the work of art

Explain how the work of art is an example of social commentary

All assignments must be in 12-point font (Arial or Times New Roman), use correct grammar and spelling, and coherent sentences. Please proofread, Please use your own words (no plagiarism); I want to hear what you think, who you are, and what you have to say. Please include the image you are discussing and works cited.

RNA structure and Functions- Discussion response

This is a response to a discussion topic. It must be factual and not opinionated. All facts must be cited. APA format, 125 word minimum. Below is the paragraph you will be responding to:

RNA Structure and Functions

Ribonucleic acid: any of a class of single stranded molecules transcribed from DNA in the cell nucleus or in the mitochondrion orchloroplast, containing along the strand a linear sequence of nucleotide bases that is identical with that of DNA except for the substitution of the sugar ribose for deoxyribose and the substitution of the nucleotide base uracil forthymine.

During protein synthesis Ribonucleic Acid (regularly referred to as RNA) plays a few very important roles as Messenger, Transfer, and Ribosomal. Ribonucleic acid only consists of one sole nucleotide chain, and it is not held together by complementary base pairs only in particular where the molecule folds back onto itself (Saladin).

Messenger RNA: a single-stranded molecule of RNA that is synthesized in the nucleus from a DNA template and then enters the cytoplasm, where its genetic code specifies the amino acid sequence for protein synthesis (Dictionary.com, 2018). The role of Messenger RNA also referred to as mRNA is to carry the genetic information that had been copied from DNA (Lodish H, Berk A, Zipursky SL, et al. 2000).

Transfer RNA: A small RNA molecule, consisting of a strand of nucleotides folded into a clover-leaf shape, that picks up an unattached amino acid within the cell cytoplasm and conveys it to the ribosome for protein synthesis (Dictionary.com, 2018). Transfer RNA also known as tRNA is responsible for reading the the code and carrying the amino acid inside the forming proteins (Chemistry Libretext, 2014).

Ribosomal RNA: A type of RNA, distinguished by its length and abundance, functioning in protein synthesis as a component of ribosomes (Dictionary.com, 2018). Ribosomal RNA (rRNA) plays its part as being a vehicle that carries enzymes that are needed for protein synthesis. The rRNA attaches itself to a mRNA and offers a stabilized structure holding everything together during the synthesizing process (Chemistry Libretext, 2014).
