This week you are exploring the characteristics of our species and the role we play in our ecosystem. Two terms commonly used to describe an organism’s place in the environment is their “habitat” and their “niche.” A habitat is defined as an area inhabited by particular species. A niche is defined as the role (job), activities and resources used by an organism. For example, a polar bear’s habitat is the arctic whereas its niche is to swim, eat fish, walruses and seals, and to take care of polar bear cubs. Have you ever considered the characteristics of your niche or thought about what might happen if you were forced to switch to another niche? This Assignment will give you the opportunity to compare and contrast the niche that you live in with an assigned niche (described below).

Your essay should include:

  • A description of your personal niche and of your assigned niche highlighting the similarities and differences.
  • A description of your personal habitat and your assigned habitat highlighting the similarities and differences.
  • Consider what characteristics would provide a survival advantage to you or to the individuals who currently occupy each niche and habitat.
  • How have humans adapted to the two habitats and niches?
  • What difficulties might you have living in the assigned niche and why?
  • What types of cultural adaptations have evolved from living in your niche? Your assigned niche?
  • Your discussion should consider any biological adaptations as well; things such as dealing with food spoilage, insect vector control, food and waterborne illnesses, etc.

  1. Rogers’ diffusion of innovation theory is a particularly good theoretical framework to apply to an EBP project. However, students may also choose to use change models, such as Duck’s change curve model or the transtheoretical model of behavioral change. Other conceptual models presented such as a utilization model (Stetler’s model) and EBP models (the Iowa model and ARCC model) can also be used as a framework for applying your evidence‐based intervention in clinical practice.
  2. Apply one of the above models and carry your implementation through each of the stages, phases, or steps identified in the chosen model.
  3. In addition, create a conceptual model of the project. Although you will not be submitting the conceptual model you design in Topic 5 with the narrative, the conceptual model should be placed in the appendices for the final paper.

Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

Evidence-Based Practice Proposal – Section F: Implementation Plan

In 500‐750 words (not including the title page and reference page), provide a description of the methods to be used to implement the proposed solution. Include the following:

  1. Describe the setting and access to potential subjects. If there is a need for a consent or approval form, then one must be created. Although you will not be submitting the consent or approval form(s) in Topic 5 with the narrative, the consent or approval form(s) should be placed in the appendices for the final paper.
  2. Describe the amount of time needed to complete this project. Create a timeline. Make sure the timeline is general enough that it can be implemented at any date. Although you will not be submitting the timeline in Topic 5 with the narrative, the timeline should be placed in the appendices for the final paper.
  3. Describe the resources (human, fiscal, and other) or changes needed in the implementation of the solution. Consider the clinical tools or process changes that would need to take place. Provide a resource list. Although you will not be submitting the resource list in Topic 5 with the narrative, the resource list should be placed in the appendices for the final paper.
  4. Describe the methods and instruments, such as a questionnaire, scale, or test to be used for monitoring the implementation of the proposed solution. Develop the instruments. Although you will not be submitting the individual instruments in Topic 5 with the narrative, the instruments should be placed in the appendices for the final paper.
  5. Explain the process for delivering the (intervention) solution and indicate if any training will be needed.
  6. Provide an outline of the data collection plan. Describe how data management will be maintained and by whom. Furthermore, provide an explanation of how the data analysis and interpretation process will be conducted. Develop the data collection tools that will be needed. Although you will not be submitting the data collection tools in Topic 5 with the narrative, the data collection tools should be placed in the appendices for the final paper.
  7. Describe the strategies to deal with the management of any barriers, facilitators, and challenges.
  8. Establish the feasibility of the implementation plan. Address the costs for personnel, consumable supplies, equipment (if not provided by the institute), computer related costs (librarian consultation, database access, etc.), and other costs (travel, presentation development). Make sure to provide a brief rationale for each. Develop a budget plan. Although you will not be submitting the budget plan in Topic 5 with the narrative, the budget plan should be placed in the appendices for the final paper.
  9. Describe the plans to maintain, extend, revise, and discontinue a proposed solution after implementation.

I have learned about different topics of healthcare during the Zoom Virtual Classroom and discussion board. We are living in the 21st century which is an era of technology and everything as we know it has been linked to technology. In this era, decision making is fast and provides us with numerous options, but one thing that is at stake here is the ethics. In the field of healthcare, technology has brought a revolution and brought numerous options that has directed field of healthcare into a new era. In the field of healthcare, ethics has become a question that people don’t care about. I have learned about the ethics of healthcare through this course and I have shared my knowledge through discussion board and media gallery. This course has brought light to what ethics of this field are and what is the importance of ethics in healthcare.

We have studied several aspects of healthcare that has raised issues and among them was the case in which we talked about technology and how it has affected healthcare. Innovation can build the estimation of our lives especially if we take care to use it precisely. I believe that as innovation use continuously finds its way into talks about men and women fundamental care. Many times I have contacted the instructor for queries and discussion. I as an individual am the awesome fanatic of innovation as it has enabled people in more routes than we to can even envision everything yet has a cutoff and for this situation of innovation. I believe that we have to hone social insurance in breaking points of human services and limit individuals from utilizing the innovation for dishonest purposes. We have discussed about available technologies but using the technology in all those regards is not ethical. I know that cloning is part of the technology that is declared as the illegal aspect of the usage of technology but I was shocked to learn about people killing their unborn child just because the baby is having mental or health issues. The case we have read about the issue has made me to research on the issue and it was not only emotional but highly shocking for me as I believe this is not only unethical but a crime in this field. One of the lines we have read during this course was crux of understanding the scenario. It said that just because we can develop technology doesn’t mean we have to use it in all regards. I believe we need to keep ethics first before using any technology because ethics and morality are what makes us humans.

Elderly patients are what I believe are the patients that aren’t taken seriously and there are many ethical issues involved when it comes to their healthcare. We have read in great detail about the ethical issues elderly patients have to go through and how they can be solved. It was important to me because I have never given a thought about the issues of healthcare for our elderly people and always relied on system to take the best care about them but this course has shed light on such issues and raised awareness.

In this course, I have learned about morals of social insurance and the space of open and private social insurance through discussion boards and the Zoom virtual classrooms Throughout this course not only the class helped me, but the discussion and the media board helped to understand this important issue. We have discussed that masses prosperity isn’t just the general quality of a people yet moreover fuses the dispersal of prosperity. It was one of the most important and interesting course I have ever read in my life. I have taken parts in discussion boards to help increase my knowledge and I will give myself 70 from 100 %.
