Directions:  Using the textbooks, internet resources, and any other resources you collect, evaluate an employee handbook for a business.  This business can be any type of hospitality business.  Do not worry about finding the perfect handbook.  This is an exercise.  The learning will take place by looking at what is correct and what needs to improve.  You must have an introduction, body and conclusion to this paper.

The introduction must include at the minimum: (10 points)
1.    Name of the Company
2.    Location of the Company
3.    Brief overview of the company
4.    An explanation to why you chose the handbook

The evaluation: (20 points)
1.    Did the handbook have the required materials (see below)?  Explain.

The conclusion: (10 points)
1.    Three positive qualities about the handbook you chose.
2.    Three negative qualities about handbook you chose.
3.    Would you use this handbook?  Explain your answer.

The state of the COVID-19 pandemic is extremely dynamic. Consequently, many agencies and communities continue to monitor the spread of the virus in order to make proactive decisions to protect the community. The purpose of this journal assignment is for social work students to demonstrate integration of the social work competencies to analyze the impact of COVID-19.Your journal should be scholarly, thoughtful, well-written, and utilize APA format.

Instructions: Please submit a well-written 2- page journal that addresses the following criteria:

Include what facts/information you know about the COVID-19 pandemic (i.e., properties, spread, incubation, duration, mortality rates, etc.) and CDC guidelines for best practice during a pandemic.
Select one practice behavior from any four social work competencies of your choice
Examine and apply an ethical decision-making model to the steps being taken to mitigate the spread of the virus at the individual, local (government agency), community/-ies, and State levels. Additionally, students should consider any relevant course work, the NASW Code of Ethics, professional values, the ethical and responsible use of technology, roles of social work and other professionals, policies/law, etc. when addressing this criterion.
