Columbia Southern University Risk Assessment and Job Hazards Analysis

Consider a task in the fire department and as a firefighter that has led to issues, injuries, or near injuries. (Something that is a common occurrence in the fire department) Perform a Job Hazards Analysis (JHA) for this task. (The form is provided below).

fill out the uploaded document and send along with paper. only complete 1-5 on the worksheet

Upon completing the JHA, you will need to address the following items surrounding your workplace in the fire department and as a firefighter:

1. Describe principles of risk assessment and hazard analyses used within your occupation.

2. Explain how OSHA and other control methods currently are currently being used to prevent injuries and illnesses.

3. Critique current strategies in your workplace to combat the hazards surrounding the selected job task

4. 2 1/2 page paper with references and cited work. no plagiarism

How do the characters in The Kingdom of Matthias reveal the conflicts and struggles of family life, social class, sexuality, and economic/political change during the Second Great Awakening?

In The Kingdom of Matthias, Paul E. Johnson, and Sean Wilentz explain the difficulty in writing a micro history, While trying to resist the exaggerations and heat that accompany any weird scandal, especially one that involves sexual play, we thought we would do the same from the vantage point of a century and a half later. The trick was to try and do so without turning the protagonists into mere historical types. Johnson and Wilentz further comment on the characters in the story by stating They suffered, raged, swooned, and betrayed without knowing anything about a market revolution or a Second Great Awakening, concepts that historians only imposed much later. They lived in their own histories, not ours, and we tried to respect their histories even as we tried to make it intelligible to our own sense of history.

Read the book, and comment critically on the following question. How do the characters in The Kingdom of Matthias reveal the conflicts and struggles of family life, social class, sexuality, and economic/political change during the Second Great Awakening?

As a think piece assignment, the paper should be clearly organized and contain a wealth of information. The use of quotations is appropriate, but use them for emphasis or reference, not as narrative, citing the author and page number in the text. The paper should be typed, double-spaced, and be five to seven pages in length. The paper will be evaluated on how well it reveals a close reading and analysis of the book, on its presentation of evidence, and on its organization and style.

-Use in text quotes quotations from the book within the paper.

-NO outside sources ONLY use the book The Kingdom of Matthias

Critical Review of an article on Business Strategy

I have attached below the article in question(Cratfing Strategy), the assignment brief with the main instruction for the essay and the matrix with the marking criteria. There is also a checklist that explains exaclty how the essay should be written. The essay should be 1000 words not 1100.

chemistry problem set

1. A hydrogen atom in a certain excited state has its electron in a 5f subshell. The electron drops down to the 3d subshell, releasing a photon in the process.

a) For each of these subshells, give the n and l quantum numbers, and give the range of possible ml quantum numbers.

b)How many radial nodes and how many angular nodes does each of the orbitals in part (a) have?

c)Determine the wavelength of light that would be emitted by this process.

d) The hydrogen atom now has a single electron in the 3d subshell. Calculate the energy (in kJ/mol) required to ionize this (excited state) hydrogen atom. This is the energy required to remove the electron completely from the atom.

2. The photoelectric binding energy of cesium is 183.7 kJ/mol. Light having a wavelength of 2.4 ×10–7m falls upon a cesium surface in an evacuated tube. Calculate the minimum deBroglie wavelength of the emitted photoelectrons

3. For each of the following orbitals, provide a sketch of the orbital in the Cartesian x,y z coordinate system that clearly shows the shape and orientation of the orbital. Determine the number of angular nodes and the number of radial nodes in the orbital, and describe where any angular nodes are located. (For instance, the 2px orbital has an angular node in the yz plane)

a) 1s

b) 3px

c) 3dx2y2

d) 3dxz

4. Write electron configurations and count the number of unpaired electrons in:

O, Si, Ni, I, Ir, Bi, Gd
