Week 4: Organizational Culture and Evaluation Discussion

Week 4: Organizational Culture and Evaluation Discussion
No unread replies.No replies.
Overview
Planning for change, evaluating change and organizational culture are all connected.  We cannot plan for change or evaluate change without the context of organizational culture.

In your reading this week and the short video we explored Kirkpatrick’s 5 levels of evaluation.

Level 1: Reaction How satisfied are the participants?
Level 2: Learning What do the participants know?
Level 3: Behavior What are the participants doing?
Level 4: Results What outcomes have been achieved?
Level 5: Return What is the return on investment (ROI)?
Prompt
Select one of the 2 questions and write your response.

How does the context of organizational culture speak into the willingness of an organization to seek a level 4 or 5 evaluation?  Does organizational culture change the way the evaluation is presented?  Explain your answer and support with one source.
You are an OD consultant.  You are requested to come into an organization and help them to create a culture of innovation.  What are two concepts you would implement and how would you measure their success of changing to a culture of innovation.
