Question:
1.    On July 14, 2015 President Obama (along with the leaders of China, France, Russia, the UK and Germany) signed an agreement with Iran on the future of Irans nuclear program.  What were the terms of the deal? 

2.    Why did the United States and Iran both agree to sign the deal? 

3.    On May 8, 2018, President Trump withdrew from the agreement despite the fact that a majority Americans (according to a CNN poll) said the U.S. should remain.  Trump has described the deal as disaster, the worst deal ever, and so terrible that it could lead to a nuclear holocaust.  How do you explain Trumps decision to reject the deal?  How do you think the Iranian government is likely to respond and why?  Is the United States safer or less safe as a result?  Why do you think this is the case?

Relationship and Flourishing

You have been introduced to numerous concepts in Positive Psychology so far this semester. Now we explore another main theme: Relationships.

Chapter three described positive emotions signaling safety and providing the opportunity to build & consolidate psychological skills to be used later for good effect (p49). Chapter four (p93) noted that social or interpersonal factors are one of the more robust determinants of happiness. Module four talked about money and happiness.  Chapter five (p126) stated that resilience depends critically on a supportive relationship with another person.” In chapter nine (p242-243), Erickson lists psychosocial milestones. Now, chapter ten says it all: (p249) Other people matter. The ratio of positive to negatives for a relationship to survive and flourish must exceed 1:1.

Your task with this discussion posting is to:
1. Reflect back on your Savoring exercise earlier this semester. Did you opt to share this with another as one of your strategies? What concepts of Positive Psychology do you see as most valuable to have flourishing relationships (friendships, companions, partners)?
2. Read and provide thoughtful feedback to at least three of your peers about their story.

Problem:

You own a small business that is growing. You have just hired more employees and they need connectivity to the companys intranet. What is the quickest and most efficient way of getting your new employees connected to the intranet?

Instructions:

Using the attached template and based on your knowledge of the Problem Solving method, please address the question. You should work through the step Choosing a Solution. Your response should have 3 to 5 properly constructed paragraphs with 3 to 5 properly constructed sentences per paragraph. Please delineate each step such as step 1, step 2 and so forth.

I suggest you first explain the Problem Solving process. Then apply that process to the problem at hand.

news analysis and discussion

Uncover a current or recent (within the current month/year) news item from a credible news source that RELATES TO YOUR CLIENT — FOX sports app (either about your client, the industry, or the client’s competition).  The goal for the final uncover blog posts is to be focused on monitoring news that could impact your client/project. (This is something PR folks do every morning.)

Write a brief summary of the news item. Since you will provide the link, there is no need to write out the entire article. Summarize in 1-3 sentences. The majority of your post should be your discussion and analysis.

Discuss how you think the information in the story relates to YOUR CLIENT. If the news deals with a campaign, crisis, strategy, or special audience discuss the relevance to your client. Put yourself as the PR person for the newsmaker: what audiences do you need to concern yourself with, is this a negative or positive story, what does the story say about the brand? Is there any information that you could use in your project, or help you develop your campaign?

Always include an image within your post to enhance the reader’s enjoyment. Publish the post on your blog and share its URL by submitting it to this assignment.

The blog post should be a minimum of 400 words describing your personal reactions to the news and what PR folks should do next.
