In the beginning of Psychomachia, Prudentius brings up the story of story of Abraham rescuing his nephew Lot from his imprisonment by pagan kings. Why does God tell Abraham to fight these unholy men? Why is it important to “cleanse” the child’s heart?
In Psychomachia, how do you perceive the virtues and the vices? What is the difference between the two? What is the end goal of the vices? How do the virtues ultimately defeat the vices?
