You must answer ONE question.

You must write on 2 of these films: Laura, Vertigo, Mulholland Drive. (please watch the movies)

This is a short essay with an emphasis on close reading so keep your answers tightly focused on evidence from the film(s).

You must used at least three reading resources from the movies u choose to support ur argument (at least1 for each movie u choose& I uploaded and named those)

Question for choosing
1. In Vertigo, as in Laura, the figure of woman allows the question of masculinity, and relations between men, to be posed.  How?
2. Mulholland Drive is both a film about fantasy and a film permeated by fantasy at every level (Heather Love).  Consider the place of fantasy with reference to Mulholland Drive, Laura or Vertigo.
3. Write about the gaze and/or gendered modes of looking in relation to Laura, Mulholland Drive or Vertigo.
4. How are different technologies of representation and reproduction (eg writing, drawing, painting, photography, cinema) implicated in questions of sexuality in Laura, Vertigo or Mulholland Drive?
5.Consider any of the films in relation to the erotics of aesthetics.
6. Consider any of the films in relation to stardom, mechanical reproduction and Hollywood economies.
7. Consider Slavoj ieks claim that cinema doesnt give you what you desire. It tells you how to desire in relation to any of the films.
