Reseach Report Instructions:

You are an International Manager that has just been told you will be setting up a business in the Country you selected last week.  You need to conduct a detailed Country Research Report which is a Country Analysis for the purposes of Market Entry.

Though the business initiative hasnt been discussed yet, you need to analyze the political, economic, legal, technological and cultural environment (which includes ethics, social responsibility and sustainability in addition to other cultural aspects) of the country you selected. 

In your analysis outline the challenges and opportunities of conducting business in that country and provide relevant guidelines and recommendations for entering the market of the country you selected.

Keep in mind you will be examining the country from every possible perspective (i.e. consumer, business, resident, etc.). Your report should be at least a 4 pages.  Make sure you focus on details to support your position and provide supporting evidence using in-text references to show your sources and make sure you provide the corresponding references at the end of your paper.  Your paper needs to be in APA format. And I will say it again, you need to provide detailed explanations.

Use charts and graphs wherever you feel they are necessary, but add the charts and/or graphs to the appendix section and reference them by the name or numbers when you decide to use them in your analysis.  The Appendix section is after the reference section per APA format.  Dont add the physical chart and/or graph to the body of your paper as it will not be counted towards the content page length requirements of the assignment. 

Again, all your sources of information must be clearly referenced. The assignments must be based on research

All papers should be in Microsoft Word and should be correctly formatted per APA rules.  Make sure you use headings to distinguish between the sections of your paper you are discussing.  Again, your paper must follow APA format.

I have attached the paper you completed for reference.  This is an ongoing project for the next couple weeks.

Describe in detail the characteristics of the consumers in the market.
What does demand look like in your market?
Is this demand elastic or inelastic? Why?
Are there obvious substitute goods or services available?
Is there a decreasing marginal utility of consumption? Explain.

Do your best to describe the utility function for a typical consumer of your particular product or service. Justify the functional form youve chosen. Really think about your product/service and the “satisfaction” that consumers receive from it over time.

If your market has producers:
Describe the production process in detail for your product or service. Are there high fixed costs? Are there high variable costs? What are the production inputs?
In general (non-mathematical) terms, describe the production function. Then, relate this explanation to your specific product or service. You can use your textbook, and/or this resource (Links to an external site.) to help you.

If your market involves only buyers and sellers (e.g., the FCC spectrum auction or the residential housing market), describe (as precisely as possible) the rules of the market.
