Thought experiment

Thought experiment: Approximately one-page single-spaced scholarly essay, with a line of white space
between each paragraph.
Mini research topic: What is the amount of sexual content on (some specific media)? (This media could be a
television show, a film, a you-tube video (or videos), advertisements in a magazine, or film trailers.) Develop a
coding sheet that would allow you to determine no sexual contact, limited sexual content, moderate sexual
content and heavy sexual content. This would take me some serious thinking. For example, would 10 kissing
scenes be heavy sexual content? Would one scene of intercourse that was depicted for 2 seconds be enough
to make a 20 minute section of a film be heavy sexual content? What if it was 2 seconds or rape? Or 5 minutes
of sex? What if the scene was of bikinis at a beach? Would the sexuality be the poses? Or just the bikinis? If it
was the bikinis would there be an age limit? Would a scene/picture of 80 year-old-men wearing speedos be
heavy sexuality (or just annoying)? What if the scene was of 80 five-year-old girls wearing bikinis?
Take between 10 to 20 minutes of material and using your coding sheet to rate the sexual content of that
material. (This would be about half of a sit-com, 5 Disney trailers, 10 beer commercials or a 20-minute segment
of a film.)
Prepare a results and conclusions for your research and discuss (briefly) any problems that you found with the
coding instructions. (Problems would include places where the coding instructions were not clear, places that
you thought were sexualized but the coding instructions were not complete enough to capture that data and so
on.)
Basic structure of essay:
One sentence description of the research project including the specific media examined.
Coding instructions. (Put as an appendix.)
Research coding sheet. (Put as an appendix.)
Chart of results. (Put as an appendix.)
Paragraph explanation of most important results.
Conclusions of what you found.
Description of any spots where the coding instructions were incomplete or hard to follow.

Thesis Statement and Analysis of the Rhetorical Situation

The final paper has already been written, but not submitted yet as it is not yet due. The following instructions
are for an assignment that is due before the final paper. I will attach the final paper for you to use to create this
assignment. You will just need to find the Thesis statement in the paper and use some of the information in the
paper to write a few paragraphs as if the paper you are using has not been created yet. Assignment
instructions are below: (note, I work for the railroad and it is my long-term career that I hope to excel and
promote in which is why I have an interest in this topic.)
Assignment Instructions
The purpose of this assignment is to try to help you to see writing as it is—an important means of
communication. To accomplish this, please analyze your research topic more fully by identifying your thesis
statement and carefully considering your rhetorical situation. Remember: your challenge in the research paper
is to communicate your purpose clearly to your reader.

Compliant/Noncompliant Solutions

The following code segment was provided in Chapter 1 of Java Coding Guidelines:

The code is presented as a noncompliant code example.

A compliant solution is presented for this example.

For this paper, identify two additional compliant solutions that can be utilized to ensure the protection of sensitive data (I have provided three compliant solutions. You could pick two of them or create/modify a compliant solution). Provide a detailed explanation of factors that influence non-compliant code and specifically how your solutions are now compliant. Your explanation should be 2 pages in length. You should include at least one source from professional or academic literature such as articles from peer-reviewed journals and relevant textbooks. The use of Wikipedia is not considered an academic or professional reference. You should also ensure to proofread and spell-check your responses. All sources should be formatted using APA guidelines.
Attached are my lecture notes, my three compliant solutions (You could use another solution if you would like), an example essay, Chapter 1 of Java Coding Guideline, and the APA template. Message me if you have any questions regarding the instruction.

Comparing and contrasting a document

Compare and contrast the two documents and attempt to explain those similarities and differences.
John Locke’s Second Treaties on Government

The Declaration of Independence

Remember that Locke’s work comes first and that Jefferson used it when creating the Declaration. Why did
Jefferson use what he did and where he made changes why did he make those changes?
