Comprehensive Plan   for Alumni and Community Collaboration

The school exists to serve the community more than the community to serve the school. However, a mutually collaborative relationship has significant benefits to both school and community. Harnessing the support of alumni residing locally can lend significant support to this relationship. In this assignment, you will consider methods to harness the support of alumni in the creation of a mutually collaborative relationship with the community. For this assignment, the learner will continue working with the Collaborative Planning and Diagnostic Instrument included in the Rubin textbook. The learner will use the information gathered in phases 1-5 and develop a comprehensive plan for cultivating and maintaining a collaborative environment for a K-12 institution and community.

General Requirements:

Use the following information to ensure successful completion of the assignment:

· Refer to the Collaborative Planning and Diagnostic Instrument discussed in Resource 1 Planning and Assessment in the Rubin textbook.

· This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

· Doctoral learners are required to use APA style for their writing assignments. The APA Style Guide is located in the Student Success Center.

· This assignment requires that at least two additional scholarly research sources related to this topic, and at least one in-text citation from each source be included.

· You are required to submit this assignment to LopesWrite. Refer to the LopesWrite Technical Support articles for assistance.

Directions:

Write a paper (1,250–1,500 words) in which you consider the application of the Collaborative Planning and Diagnostic Instrument offered in the Rubin textbook to the creation of a mutually collaborative relationship with the community. Include the following in your paper:

1. A research-supported discussion of how phases 6-14 could be applied to creating a mutually collaborative relationship with the community.

2. A research-based discussion of how alumni could be engaged to support the application of phases 6-14 as described above.

For this assessment, develop your own nurse educator philosophy statement. Identify your beliefs and values regarding the adult learner, learning environment, and teaching strategies and applicable learning theories that you will use as an educator. Address how this philosophy will guide you in the tripartite roles of a nurse educator—how it will guide your teaching, scholarship, and service. Support your philosophy with your knowledge of historical events that are pertinent to your work. In addition, identify the competencies that you see as critical to your role.

In sum, your philosophy statement should guide your practice as a nurse educator.

Your educator philosophy statement should do the following: Identify the area of nursing education or the area in health care in which you will apply your MSN, education specialization skills, and knowledge. Formulate your nurse educator philosophy statement, which should comprise your beliefs and values regarding the adult learner, learning environment, and teaching strategies and applicable learning theories that you will use as an educator. Apply your philosophy statement to each of the tripartite roles of the nurse educator. What does your philosophy mean for your approach to teaching, scholarship, and service? As you discuss the role of teacher, be sure to address any theories (adult learning theory, learner-center education, and others) that shape your approach as an educator. Analyze the relationship of significant historical events that have shaped the role you seek to fill. Analyze the most essential nurse educator competencies necessary for this MSN-prepared nurse educator. Explain why you selected the competencies you did. Conclude with a summary. Additional Requirements

Your assessment should meet the following requirements: Written communication: Written communication should be free of grammar and spelling errors that distract from the content. APA format: Use correct APA format, including running head, page numbers, and a title page. Citations and references (if used) are to be in correct APA format sixth edition. Professional Criminal Justice Interview

For this assignment, I would like you to draft ten interview questions for a professional in the Criminal Justice field that is currently working in a criminal justice agency or has worked in a criminal justice agency. You can call an agency of your choice, and ask the supervisor in charge if you can schedule a interview with them that should take no more than 15 to 20 minutes of their time.

Explain to your interviewee that you are going to be asking questions of how they view/supervise the management of their particular criminal justice agency.

The rubric revolves around a interview that is conducive to a virtual format, so please find a professional that is willing to do a virtual interview with you.

Please see the interview rubric for further details regarding your interview assignment but some things to include maybe but not limited to: Was the interviewee open and honest?  Did they sound as they provided a “scripted” or rehearsed answer to your interview questions? Was there anything in particular about the interview that stood out to you?

Upload  your zoom meeting,  face time, skype,  Google Hangout, or other virtual format. In the discussion post area, be sure to add your contents/details, and self reflection of the interview process after the interview.

(The only in text citations and references you will need for this assignment is if you choose to relate part of your interview to a published source in your details/self reflection or you are quoting a particular published writing).
