Language Lesson Plan

While language skills are developed and strengthened through natural experiences, there are times when you need to intentionally teach language skills to the children you are working with. One way to do this is through planning a lesson that targets a specific language skill. In this assignment, you will have the opportunity to develop a lesson that will meet the needs of the children from one of four scenarios.

To prepare for this assignment,

Read Chapters 7 and 8 from the text.
Read the Early Childhood and Child Development: Lesson Plan Handbook.
Review the ECE315 Week 4 Lesson Plan Template and Sample created for you.
Choose one of the scenarios below to create your lesson:
A preschool classroom (three- and four-year-old) with 18 students. In the class, two students are English language learners. Your lesson should focus on listening to and following directions.
Include the following in your detailed 3 to 4 page lesson plan, using the template:

Define the content area of the lesson.
Identify the grade of the classroom.
Indicate the approximate time necessary to complete the lesson.
Outline the lesson objectives.
Define appropriate materials needed to carry out the lesson.
Describe the lesson procedure.
Explain two to three strategies to support the children learning a second language.
Create an assessment plan. How will you measure improvement?
Plan a closing to your lesson. How will you end the lesson before transitioning to your next activity?

Apply strategies to write effective professional documents

Imagine that you are currently working in your field of study, in your dream job. You enjoy your work and you are recognized as being a dependable employee who is a self-starter and a problem solver.

Imagine that you have recently noticed a problem on the job. You may have noticed that a lot of your fellow officers are suffering from stress if you are in law enforcement, or you may have noticed that a lot of your fellow teachers do not return after their first year, or you may have noticed that a lot of your fellow employees are frequently absent.

Demonstrate your problem solving skills by offering your supervisors a solution to the problem you have identified. Write a 34 paragraph (1 to 1 and pages, single spaced) memorandum to the decision makers in your organization, making sure you do the following:

Demonstrate to the particular audience why this specific problem is something that they need to address
Present a reasonable solution (one solution, not a series of recommendations for what they might do) to this problem, explaining why you think the solution would work for this particular organization
Incorporate paraphrased information from one relevant and reliable secondary source that either helps you show the seriousness of the problem or that helps support your suggested solution.
Cite the source you use, both in text and in an appropriately APA formatted Reference page.
Organize your ideas logically and demonstrate appropriate paragraphing
Use language appropriate to your audience and to the writing situation
Edit your document to avoid distracting grammar and punctuation errors

Legal positivism and natural law

fundamental legal theories such as H.L.A. Hart’s Legal Positivism, Hans Kelsen’s Pure Theory of Law, John
Finnis’ Natural Law Theory, and Lon Fuller’s Natural Law Theory. You must include the following:

  1. Comparative analysis of the legal theories;
  2. Consistencies of the legal theories with the biblical perspective of law;
  3. Inconsistencies of the legal theories with the biblical perspective of law; and
  4. Application of the legal theories to the analysis of current legal issues.
