Behavior Intervention Plan

At this point in the course, you have learned about various behavior change strategies in Applied Behavior Analysis including antecedent interventions, consequence interventions, token economies, and contingency contracts. You have also studied in-depth the maintenance and generalization of behavior change and some possible unintended behavior changes that may arise from treatment programming. Consider these factors while writing.

In what ways do humans keep enjoyment and ethics separate in regards to food consumption? Explain

You will then write a thesis-centered essay of at least 500 words in response to this one question using excerpts from The Omnivore’s Dilemma and “Consider the Lobster” to support your writing.

Remember to:

Develop a thesis that takes a clear stance or position.
Organize your thoughts–an outline can help do this.
Use MLA in-text citation to support your claim with quotes or paraphrases from BOTH the Michael Pollan and the David Foster Wallace readings. (You must use at least one cited idea from each reading).
Also use your own observations, experiences, or other sources to develop your claims. Discuss how your citations and ideas are relevant to your thesis.

Impact of Grief on Different Cultures

The topic of the paper should be chosen from content that is discussed in the book or course material. Frequently chosen topics include comparisons of various cultural rituals around the dying process; the impact of grief; current issues surrounding death and technology; organ donation, coping with death from different development perspectives, palliative care and hospice, etc. Topics such as burial practices, forensics, or historical practices are also interesting. Just remember that you will use these resources to create an informational brochure, so consider your intended audience.
Length. 5 pages that includes a title page (include your topic and intended audience for the
teaching project), one page per source, and a reference page for your additional teaching project
resources and photo credits.
2. Format. Use APA formatting. You no longer need a running head for student papers. You are
expected to thoroughly proofread for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure. I
suggest that you submit your paper to a plagiarism checker prior to submission.
Content. For each source of the bibliography, you will include the reference in APA format at the top of the page (single space). Summarize the article: Describe the main points, for example,
purpose/audience/summary/results/possible biases, etc. Write in narrative form. You should keep additional notes from the articles to use in the teaching project, but only summarize the most pertinent information here in one page per article.
