Activity: Opposing Viewpoints (GRADED)

Let’s use the keywords you brainstormed earlier in the module to conduct three separate searches in the Opposing Viewpoints or Academic Search Ultimate or other similar database. When conducting these searches, pay close attention to what types of sources pop up. Are they written by professionals or academics in the field? Are they articles from one of the 24-hour news networks? What formats appear (article, journal, essay, news story, video, podcast, etc.)? How old are the sources? Why does the age of different sources matter?

Python Project – Turtle Graphics

Hey! I need to create a Python project with Turtle Graphics. Here are the instructions from my teacher: The word project represents a unique product. The students would, with the use of the Turtle Graphics, for a project task create games (criss cross, memory, chess…). If you decide to do a drawing, it should be a complex one (one student made a drawing of a flag and a coat of arms), and also it would be good that there is a interaction and, depending on what the user of the program inputs, an assignment is done. While creating a project task you should also create documentation that includes the description of the program and commands that you use. My advice is that you write the documentation parallel with the program (write a part of the program that does a part of the project task and then decribe it). It would also be good to include some of the curriculum that we did in school: files, dictionaries, sets. Of course, the focus is on Turtle Graphics.

Path Goal Theory

The table in your textbook, “Path-Goal Theory: How It Works,” illustrates how leadership behaviors are related to followers and task characteristics. This assignment will give you practice in evaluating which leadership style best fits the needs of followers and the work they are doing in the given situation, and predicting the results. You will be applying system thinking and theory to evaluate all systems that are impacted and affected by the leadership decisions made. In responding to the questions, use the terms described in the table in your textbook.

You are given four scenarios in the document linked below.
For each scenario, answer these questions.

Which leadership behavior would affect the motivation of the followers: directive, supportive, participative, or achievement-oriented?
How would follower characteristics change as a result of a the leadership approach you chose for this scenario?
Besides the example in this scenario, what are other examples of tasks or situations that would fit benefit from the leadership approach you chose? Refer to Task Characteristics from the path-goal theory table in the textbook.
