Visit some of these sites and write a review of the one you found most interesting. YOU MAY NOT DO SECTION 1 (too basic). Include some graphics, tell us what drew you to this topic and what you learned from it. At least a page long – make it interesting. Some of my favorites from section II include GAPMINDER, World Mapper, 100 People.

For this assignment, you will write an argumentative paper on something of interest to you regarding development and urbanization (ex. zoning, gentrification, historical preservation, etc. this is a very broad topic). Your paper should have an argumentative stance. This means you will either be addressing a problem from a solution oriented stance, or arguing for or against something.

Naturalism: The Open Boat vs Flight

It’s not really a full ‘in-depth’ research paper, It’s more of a comparison and contrast on how two authors exhibit naturalism in their respective stories. More information can be found on the attachment file. The ‘research’ aspect is basically finding sources publications commenting on the work of the authors, that can be used as evidence to support the topic of naturalism.

Evaluations in a Human Service Agency

In a four-page paper answer the following questions:

What are some of the reasons that staff may be resistant to or even fearful of evaluation?
How could evaluation be made non-threatening or even valued for workers in human service agencies?
What is the administrations role in evaluations?
Think of the agency where you currently work, one in which you discussed earlier in the term, or an organization of your choice when answering the following questions:
How effective is the agency’s planning and program design in responding to the needs of the social problems/customer it was intended to address or provide services to?
Does the agency have effective human resources and supervision practices to ensure success to meet the agency’s goals?
What are the administrative roles in the agency and how does this affect staff, clients, and the human service agency environment?
Does the agency formally evaluate itself
