In Module 02 you were tasked to create a line drawing that incorporated a variation of width of line to indicate weight and value.  This week we will being doing a critique on that drawing using this discussion forum. 

Your initial post should include your drawing with notes on difficulties and successes that you encountered in creating this piece. Be sure to include the vocabulary that we learned in class about line in your write up.

Description:

For this project you will be tasked to create a drawing from a still life of organic shapes.  The drawing will that will begin as a drawing of shapes and be developed into form by adding value. Your reference can be chosen from images shown in class or you can research and find one of your liking with instructor approval on image before you begin. 
If you are choosing to find your own image, you will need to keep the following in mind:
The image must be a photograph
Try searching for still life photography
The image must have a minimum of three organic forms
You can combine geometric forms in the still life but there must be three organic forms at minimum
There must be clear chiaroscuro lighting in the image
There should be a clear light and shadow side on the forms in the photo (ratio should be 1/3 2/3)

Specs

Your drawing should include all forms as seen in your reference image
You will need to use sight measurements to create accurate proportions.
You will need to use a five value system to plot out values on each individual shape.
Cast Shadows must be indicated as seen in still life
There should be a clear shadow and light side to each of the forms (cylinder, sphere, cube and cone).
Values should be blended to create a realistic transition of value.

Scoring Rubric:

Your drawing should have a clear likeness to your reference image. (20 PTS)

You will need to use a five value system to plot out values on each individual shape.(20 PTS)

Cast Shadows must be indicated as seen in still life (20 PTS)

There should be a clear shadow and light side to each of the forms (cylinder, sphere, cube and cone).(20 PTS)

Values should be blended to create a realistic transition of value. (20 PTS)
