As an immigrant from a communist country (Vietnam), I am so grateful for how much the country has provided everything that a person could ask for. I got to go to school, finished with a BS degree and I have worked for a CPA firm ever since I graduated. I always want to serve the country. I couldn’t serve in my early years as I started a family and mother 2 beautiful children. Now that they turn 10 and 11 years old, I realize I can start out by joining the Reserve team and will join active duty force once they go college (in 8 years) I have a wonderful husband who is willing to slow down at work and take sometime off to take care of the kids when I go on training.
