5Cs (customer, company, context, collaborators, competitors) -> STP (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning) -> 4Ps (Marketing Mix).

This should be the basis of the entire essay while comparing Samsung’s marketing of the Galaxy in the US to what it has done in other markets, pointing out key differences and similarities.

The Website Project Part 1 – Proposal involves making a proposal for the type of website you would like to create. Some ideas for websites include a teacher website, a reflective blog, professional portfolio, or a virtual field trip. If you are unsure of what to do, a professional portfolio website certainly has value beyond this course.  Portfolios are one-stop places for hiring principals, teachers, and administrators, and can include photos, a resume, and work samples.

Examples of past portfolios created in this class are located here:
http://alexandrasportfolio.wordpress.com/ (Links to an external site.) or http://sebuco.wordpress.com (Links to an external site.).

All proposals should be written-up in a Word document and include the following (450 words minimum):

1. Introduction, Purpose and Goals:  Provide a brief description of your project idea and why it’s of significance to you. Include the purpose/goal of the site and how it will be useful to 21st century learners (you can broadly refer to the 21st century NCCCS, Standard 9.)

2. Audience:  Other than yourself, who is the audience for your website?  Why will they find your website useful?

3. Tool:  What tool did you select to create your website? (For example, WordPress.com, Wix, Google sites, Blogger.com, Wikispaces.com, etc.).
Describe the tool, how you accessed it, and why you chose this particular tool.  Be clear on your rationale for why this was the best tool for your project’s goals and purpose.

4. Learning Theory:  In terms of your website’s design, which learning theory (Week 2) applies most directly to the purpose of your site?  (Behaviorist, cognitivist, constructivist, social constructivist).

5.  Refer to the Website Project Part 1 – Proposal Example (link above) for an example of a good proposal.
I will either approve your proposal or contact you with feedback.  Either way, you will hear from me about your proposal.  There are some additional resources on using WordPress, Google Sites, and creating a wiki below the submission instructions.
