Identify a CED(community economic development) approach to responding to some aspect of theCOVID19crisis

The Covid 19 virus was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11th. Response to the pandemic has been dramatic. In Canada, universities, schools, sports and recreation activities, restaurants, bars, religious gatherings, etc. have all been closed or severely curtailed. The Prime Minister has asked citizens to remain home and to maintain physical distance from those not in your household. Many people find themselves working (and writing exams!) from home. The response has had major economic impacts with historic levels of layoffs, stock market declines and projected GDP declines. In short, the pandemic has created a social and economic crisis.
In times of crisis, societies respond in many ways. In the Argentina example from class, we saw how a strong social economy responded to the economic crisis there. In this current crisis, what are the best CED(community economic development) responses you are seeing? Explore the media and social media to identify a CED approach to responding to some aspect of the COVID 19 crisis. Explain what the response is, who is behind it, and how it exemplifies a CED approach. Make sure to cite sources in a footnote.

Health policy and advocacy

Write a brief advocacy brief on a specific local health inequity of interest.  In about 300-400 words, lay out this information:

-State the dimensions of the problem locally.
-Then explain the current policies that maintain the inequity.
-Then describe what realistic policy changes would help eliminate the problem.

Maintain an objective tone throughout.  Do not write in the first person.  Cite the sources of all factual material.  You may quote the recommendations of others as long as you identify the source

Nursing OB

You can find NANDA approved diagnoses online at: https://www.deanza.edu/faculty/hrycykcatherine/NANDA_2015-2017_list__November_2014.pdf.  Is the diagnosis problem, risk, or health promotion focused? Take a look at  http://kb.nanda.org/article/AA-00492/0/How-do-I-write-a-diagnostic-statement-for-risk-problem-focused-and-health-promotion-diagnoses.html.

Care plan expectations: OB

No less than THREE  no more than five diagnoses. Make sure you are putting the diagnoses in proper order.  Think about this,  if you want to use risk diagnosis then why are they hospitalized?

Each diagnosis needs two measurable and obtainable goals   One long-term and one short-term goal. Each goal must be measurable and obtainable.

Each Goal needs at least three interventions.  EACH long term and short term goal needs three interventions. As a nurse how would you attain these goals you have set.

Next, you have your nursing rationales why did you do the interventions. Where is the evidence to support what you are doing? This is where you will reference using APA format and in-text citations to cite your references. Use at least one refernce (Use your text book for one).

Finally, evaluation you will say whether the goal was met or not met. If not met how/what could you do differently to make an obtainable goal.

APA format is easily located from Googling Purdue Owl or simply typing in your search engine  APA reference format.

Reading Resource: Holly Sklar, Imagine A Country

Discuss the main issues that Sklar
addresses concerning income inequality.
Did the information she present surprise
you and how might you see the world
differently when you look through
Sociological lenses and employ the
Sociological Imagination? How does the
macro impact the micro according to
Sklar?

Post an initial 300-400 word analytical answer to the question from Dr. Hill’s syllabus. Reference the readings to demonstrate your familiarity with the assigned reading (found in the Main iLearn Course site)
