What makes a good website

I am required to write a minimum of a 3 page research paper on What Makes a Good Web Site/Page. Include topics as navigation, design, layout, usability, color etc. I need to use a minimum of five different sites and/or sources to complete your paper. It is to be typed in MLA style with both in-text citations and a works cited page. I must use at least 2 articles and 1 book out the 6 resources.

Goal statement (100 words or less)

Social workers serve Michigan residents across a wide range of service systems and geographic locations. It is my goal to help NASW-Michigan represent the interests of NASW-Michigan members and those we serve, by effectively engaging in the public policy dialogue with relevant and credible data, analysis and insights, so that we will help policy-makers to make informed decisions, and are respected in that capacity. This will be done in a manner that is courteous, civil, collaborative and resolute, effectively leveraging the strengths and resources of NASW-Michigan.

As the ___ Student Representative, I will support, promote, and advocate for the future of the social work profession. It is my professional goal to advance policies that improve the quality of life for our most vulnerable citizens in Michigan, particularly those affected by substance use disorders. Through involvement with the Board, I hope to inspire and empower social work students across the state to participate in matters that affect the future of our profession and the clients we serve.

Technical Control

Focus on one technical control that you believe would provide the most value for addressing a specific emerging threat (such as ransomware).

Research 2-3 security products that could address this security control.

When deciding upon the optimal security product, provide justification for how the product best addresses the needs of your organization.  Be sure to support your justifications with information from this week’s course materials or outside sources.

You can convey your message in a narrative.  Use APA format when citing course materials (videos/readings) and/or outside sources.  Minimum one page, maximum two pages.

Violent Video Games Effect on Children and Young Adolescents

The literature review document must be at least 5 pages long in Week 6.  For Week 7, students will add and/or remove content to meet the Week 7 assignment goal of a ten page paper. There should be a total of ten articles. (I have provided five)

For this assignment, your goal is to present what you have learned about your topic across all of the articles you gathered and read. If your thoughts have evolved since you turned into your outline, it is OK to deviate from what you submitted in your outline last week! You are encouraged to:

Use headings within your literature review to guide the reader through your thoughts as you summarize the key points you want to make.

Be scholarly, but don’t use overcomplicated language. Be direct. Do not use colloquial expressions, and do not use first person (e.g., “I,” “me,” “my”).

Do not simply write a paper that brings the reader through a summary of what you read article-by-article (like mini article critiques). Instead, each paragraph should be about a different point you want to make about your topic and what the combined literature demonstrates about that point. Expect to use multiple citations in each paragraph.

Take a look at the introduction for the article you critiqued in Week 3 if you are unsure how to write your literature review. Notice how their literature review is focused on topics and a synthesis of others’ research and theory. Model your structure, tone, and “flow of thoughts” after theirs. Also, note how the authors have used citations and where they are placed.

Create a References page that only uses references (not annotations). Be sure that your page lists your references in the proper order and that formatting and punctuation are correct.
