As a group, examine a current area of health care research that is changing the way in which care is being delivered. Areas to consider may be technology, advancement of medical treatments, pharmacology advancement, HMIS, or gene research. Refer to the topic readings for additional ideas.

Create a 12-15-slide presentation with detailed speaker notes that addresses the following areas:

  1. The chosen area of health care research
  2. The potential ethical issues associated with this area of health care research
  3. The importance of clinical research and the Institutional Review Board when completing research
  4. The potential ethical issues surrounding the use of current and developing technology in health care research

Include at least three scholarly, peer-reviewed references from the GCU Library to support your positions.

While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

Introduction

Much of stimulating creativity and cultivating adaptability calls for an open-minded leader. As you continue to develop as a leader, you will be tasked with developing a culture that promotes creativity and adaptability.

Tasks

Read the following articles along with this week’s lecture and the associated chapters:

  • The Role of Stimulating Employees’ Creativity and Idea Generation in Encouraging Innovation Behaviour in Irish Firms 
  • Leading into the Next Frontier 

Using these articles and other resources, develop a plan to create a culture where creativity and adaptability is embraced. In doing so, be sure to address the following in your plan:

  • The four aspects of stimulating creativity
  • The three fundamental skills involved in cultivating adaptability

How you plan will provide opportunities for upcoming leaders.

Introduction:

In order to properly code a bill for medical necessity, it is important to understand different plans and the requirements for billing each. It is true that they all use the ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding system, the CPT procedure coding system, and the CMS-1500 form, but each type of carrier has certain requirements for a clean bill.

Tasks:

  • Create a billing manual constructed of summaries of each type of insurance.
  • Include the major requirements for billing for each type.
  • Note inpatient or outpatient differences where appropriate.
  • Explain how to determine from the patient which type they subscribe to.
