  1. Purpose of Assignment
    The purpose of this assignment is for students to evaluate the lean techniques applied to business in today’s workforce.

    Note: Students and Faculty seeking more information on this assignment can refer to Ch. 14 of the Operations and Supply Chain Management textbook.

    Assignment Steps 
    Select a business you are familiar with which incorporates lean manufacturing or lean supply chains. 

    Evaluate how this firm uses lean strategies and how much lean techniques has improved the firm’s efficiency. 

    Evaluate ways the firm can go even further to make improvements using lean techniques. 

    Consider Goldratts theory of constraints and its use in overcoming bottlenecks

    Determine if there are improvements that can be made in scheduling and/or controlling techniques

    Use the results you obtained from evaluating this firm to apply to your own business or a business you are interested in which currently does not use lean. 

    Develop a 1,050-word report in which you describe your lean evaluation project.

    Format your assignment according to APA guidelines.

Clinical Epidemiology

At this point in your career, how do you feel that epidemiology has affected your nursing practice?

Explore the CDC site, National Center for Health Statistics at https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/. This sites information is largely gleaned from epidemiological studies and data collections.

Discuss epidemiology as the scientific basis for clinical medicine and guideline development. Explain some types of data, performance measurements and possible reasons for variations in data. Next share a bit of information or statistic you learn from reviewing the National Center for Health Statistics site.

Critical Analysis Of The Case Study

This assignment is based upon the critical analysis of the case study stated below.
Critically analyse the Consulting Team case study. Your assignment should be structured as follows: 

Section 1 (250-300 words): briefly summarise the case study and identify the main dilemma(s).

Section 2 (900-1000 words): choose two topics among those explored in lectures (those that you consider more relevant and helpful to explore the case study) and for each of them explain why and how it helps you to critically explain and analyse the case study, making reference to relevant theories and examples and ensuring you reference accurately using the Harvard Method.

 Section 3 (300-400 words): Identify and evaluate possible recommendations that might resolve the dilemma(s) that you have identified and outline the benefits that might occur as a result of your recommendations. You should also identify possible limitations of your recommendations.

Section 4 (150-200 words): summarise key points of the case, your analysis and recommendations.
