Also, discuss the toxicological effects that were not only observed, but all of the possible effects of this agent. In referencing Chapter 23 from your assigned reading, briefly discuss the models used for assessing cancer risks.

Your analysis should be at least three pages in length. The title page and reference page are not included in the required paper length. Your paper must contain at least three references and may include reliable internet sources, books, and professional journals or resources related to the profession. All sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations.

Final Project

The final project for this course is the creation of a marketing and communication plan. The final product represents an authentic demonstration of competency because when working in a management position at a healthcare organization, you could be involved in selecting or creating a healthcare marketing plan.

The project is divided into three milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions.

These milestones will be submitted in Modules Three, Five, and Seven. The final product will be submitted in Module Nine

The last assignment to complete the final paper is based on marketing and communication strategies based on this proposed service:

Proposed Service for Marketing

The proposed service for the hospital is a new health payment plan for the uninsured. The plan will be designed to make care more affordable for the out-of-pocket payers since this is one of the most expensive care payment plans. This strategy addresses the opportunity of developing new services that will make Bellevue Hospital safer and more accessible to more people without the ability to afford insurance plans.

The rubric for both assignments are attached as well as part one and part of the final paper.

Efective Performance In A Diverse Marketplace

Effective Performance in a Diverse Marketplace

Leaders who participate in international business engagements learn about their strengths and weaknesses and develop critical leadership skills that allow them to understand and appreciate other cultures. Within international business settings, leaders learn from others by sharing ideas and different perspectives necessary to innovatively solve problems and competitively conduct business in the global arena. Understanding diversity enhances a leader’s conflict resolution, listening, interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Globalization has allowed organizations to capitalize on their diverse workforces to seek alternate ways to remain competitive. Organizations that embrace diversity may gain competitive advantages over organizations that do not.

For this week’s assignment, consider how understanding diversity in global settings leads to effective performance.

Submit a report that includes responses to the following:

  • What is cultural diversity and what are some of the challenges associated with it when engaging in international business activities?
  • What are the potential benefits of cultural diversity? How can multinational companies gain a competitive advantage or a marketing edge by embracing cultural diversity as a major strategic initiative? Use an example to illustrate your point.
  • Assess the role that international leaders play to ensure that an organization maintains a systematic, ongoing diversity program.
  • Analyze at least three methods to increase the number of women leaders in international leadership roles.

Submission Details:

  • Submit your paper as a 4-page Microsoft Word document, using APA style.

Discussion Question

Managing Diversity in Work Cultures

In order to compete successfully in world markets, international leaders must be able to understand and manage diversity.  That is, they must obtain better knowledge of historical, cultural, and religious forces that motivate and drive people in foreign cultures.  In Japan, for example, business relations typically operate within the context of Wa, which means group harmony and social cohesion.  In China, business is measured via guanxi, or personal relations.  In South Korea, the inhwa concept is employed, which is based on the principles of hierarchical relationships (Alston, 1989).  These diverse cultures require international leaders to have a solid grasp of the measures by which business dealings are fostered.  Please review and provide your evidence-based rationale regarding the following:

  • Select two countries of your choice and research their business cultures.  Compare and contrast their business cultures with the US business culture.  Evaluate the similarities and differences that you find.  How should international leaders respond to this diversity within the international work culture?
  • Explain how awareness of business culture across countries can enhance strategy implementation.
  • An organization has an aggressive diversity and gender equality program and has decided to send a female senior manager to a subsidiary in another country where women are not treated as equals.  Take a position for or against this decision and support your position with reasoned arguments and citations and references to justify your premises.
