You are the manager of Acme Fireworks, a fireworks retailer who sells fireworks, puts on ground display fireworks, and large aerial display fireworks. The company started in the owner’s garage two years ago and now has 15 employees that you manage. The company started as a sole proprietorship, and the owner has never changed the entity. The owner has informed you that the company has received inquiries from several large businesses wondering if the company could create several fireworks displays on a regular basis. The owner told the inquirers that the company could fill such display orders, and a price per display was agreed upon. It was discussed that most of the cost for a fireworks display is for skilled labor, insurance, and the actual service of setting off the fireworks. No other details were discussed. The owner is anticipating that new employees will need to be hired, but he is worried that if the large orders for fireworks displays do not continue, the company will not have the funds to pay the new employees. The owner is now considering changing the business entity, but he does not know what entity to form or how to form it. The owner has asked you to do the following: Determine if the contracts with the businesses will be governed by common law or the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), and explain why.Analyze whether the owner formed a contract with the businesses, and apply the five essential elements of an enforceable contract.Explain the potential personal liability to Acme Fireworks if a spectator is injured by a stray firework from a fireworks display.Discuss the different employment types and relationships relevant to agency law, and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each type specific to Acme Fireworks.Explain why Acme Fireworks should not operate as a sole proprietorship. Unit VIII Research Paper  Compilation Hi ashley this is three assignment . It is now time to compile your individual projects from Units III-VII into one comprehensive report. Use the reports that you wrote, as well as revisions that you made based on your instructor’s feedback. Create one report that summarizes and illustrates all aspects of your patient’s health issue. Your previous assignments should contain everything that you need, but you might need to rearrange some information in order to present your report in a logical, readable order. For example, you may find that a paragraph from one assignment is better placed into the area of another assignment (merely combining the assignments in order may not be the best case study presentation for your patient). Take the time to present your material professionally. Use headings to clarify sections, and properly cite all references using APA format at the end of the paper.   number 2 assignment is Assume that you will be pursuing a career as a health psychologist and plan to go to graduate school. Discuss the target population you would like to work with and why. In what ways will stress effect this population, and in what way will age play a role? Explain how these issues will affect your choice of graduate school. Your essay should be at least 500 words in length and include an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. You are required to use at least your textbook as source material for your response. You must also use one outside source. All sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations. number 3 assignment is Assume you are NOT planning on pursuing a career in health psychology, but are interested in another related area in which to continue in. Choose another field of study in psychology or a related field you might be interested in, and explain why you chose that field. In what ways will the knowledge of health promotion and prevention help your field of study? Discuss how the future of the health care system, the aging population, and health psychology might impact your future career. Your essay should be at least 500 words in length and include an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. You are required to use at least your textbook as source material for your response. Pick 2 articles

Read, summarize, and evaluate two research articles.  Based on your content area of interest, select two articles to review. Please format the article review as outlined in the syllabus. Each review is valued at 20 points / 40 points total. Submit as a document. You may create one document that contains both reviews, or two separate documents, uploading two submissions to Canvas under this assignment tab.

Additional information:

Create an article review for each article that you review. That will be two article review submissions on the one Canvas assignment, or you may make both reviews as one Word document.
Using the article review format in the syllabus, copy and paste the format into a new word document, and fill it in. The bibliographical information should be listed at the top since this is basically an expanded annotated bibliography; this format is used for that purpose. Copy and paste your citation there in APA format.

10 key terms are words you extract from the article that you think are critical to the concepts of the article. I have had students include terms that were what we would call Tier II or Tier III vocabulary – specifically used in the article that they had to go look up because they were not clear to them as a reader. Free choice here.

Summarize the article in about 350 words.
Implications for Teaching are specific to you. In what ways, in your content area, will you be able to use this information in your teaching?

You may use the Vise Library online research tool to locate peer-reviewed journal articles of a content area if not listed on the syllabus list at http://cumberland.libguides.com/databases (Links to an external site.). Note: a blog, wikipedia, association newsletter, etc. is not considered a peer-reviewed research article and will receive zero credit if selected.

You may retrieve peer-reviewed research articles of interest to you by searching in the online database at CU’s Vise Library. The options from the syllabus list are copied below:
