As part of the discussion this week, you made a brief exploration of a work of art to understand its subject, meaning, and intent. In this assignment, you will explore an artwork in more depth to consider the context in which it was created. Choose any painting, and address the following:

  • Explain the artistic movement associated with the work of art.
  • Describe the style of the artist (How is the artist unique within the movement?)
  • Examine in some depth the influences that shaped the work. Address at least 2 of the following:
    • Stylistic influences
    • Subject/content influences
    • Cross-disciplinary influences such as literature, philosophy, music, science, technology, etc.
    • Historical influences
    • Political influences
  • Reflect on your learning.
    • How did your research enhance your appreciation of the artwork?
    • How does understanding the context of a work help in interpreting it?

Include the following in your paper:

  • Name of the painting
  • Name of the artist
  • Date created
  • Image of the painting

This week, we explore the trends and issues affecting the managers communication methods. In 2008, 24% of the American population had a social media profile. By 2017 the number rose to 78%, indicating dramatic growth in acceptance and use of social media (Statista, 2017).

This week, we will also discuss the appropriateness of social media in the workplace. In the context of our study of managerial communication, reflect on the following questions:

  • How is      social media ethical and unethical as a business tool?
  • How is      social media professionally used as a business tool?
  • How      does your classmates post align with your own experiences and behaviors?
  • What      changes and perceptions can you predict for social media 10 to 20 years      from now?

Within your post, support your responses with information from at least 2-3 peer-reviewed/scholarly source (not older than 3-5 years) and provide the full citation at the end of your post. Use APA guidelines to format your references.
