· Include a title slide (one slide), content slides (eight slides), and a reference slide (one slide).

Quality of Presentation

· Creativity and effort are highly encouraged. PowerPoint provides several options for developing an exciting presentation, including options for both audio and video components; however, customizing the method of delivery for the presentation is up to you.

· Use images, graphics, smart art, and backgrounds that enhance your presentation and make it look professional, clean, and visually attractive.

Citations and Formatting

· Use a minimum of two sources that can be found in the CSU Online Library.

The American History and Life database is a good place to start, but other databases, such as Academic Search Complete, Films on Demand, and Ebook Central, may be used as well.

All sources used must be properly cited according to APA format. All in-text citations must have matching references listed on the references slide.

The women played an essential role during the progressive era. They were at the forefront in advocating for what’s right for the farmers. The progressive era was the period that took place in the twentieth century. The initiative was formed to fight commercial and political corruption to come up with solutions for the problems at hand. The people had problems with education, labor, and public health. The right to vote was another progress where the women reformers wanted to make a change. The women wanted their rights to be recognized. Before 1920, the women were not allowed to vote in any way[footnoteRef:1]The women were restricted from choosing the leaders of their choice. Suffrage had taken place on the west side. Many states in the US denied women a right to elect their representatives freely. The movement came up with financial corruption and combated political initiatives like labor, public health, and education. The effort was led by women who were seeking a role in the society forgetting the concept that women were only meant to stay at home. The women ensured that their characters in the world were recognized as well as they created a better image. They formed political movements which were to help them progress with their ideas. They were seen as inferior to men, and it is the reason why they wanted to overturn this notion[footnoteRef:2].
