Week 10 Discussion “Effects on the Environment” Note:Online students, please respond to one (1)of the following four (4) bulleted items. Discuss three (3) positive and three (3) negative impacts of humans on the biosphere. Which positive and negative impacts do you believe are the most significant to consider. Justify your response. Unit 6 discussion Water is a highly essential nutrient; Proper hydration and water balance are critical for health. Many athletes consume sports drinks when working out and exercising. Take a look at the nutrition label on a sports drink, such as Gatorade® or Powerade®. 1) Using the label along with your text book, discuss at least 2 pros and 2 cons of using sports drinks. 2) Describe situations when these beverages are truly necessary. Be specific with duration of time, type of sport and environment. 3) Discuss your personal thoughts on choosing a water, sports drinks or other fluids for hydration. Please include your name in the subject line of your initial post. Lastly, reply to at least one other student with a substantive comment.

Ona computer, perform a web search for nutrition-related websites. You will need to search several sites to look for ones that have reasonable reliable nutrition advice. Review potential websites and find out from each the source of the information. Is it a private company, a government agency, or a school or university? Compare the different websites for their level of reliability of information.
